Diego Llorente is set to return to Marcelo Bielsa's plans following a successful midweek comeback. The Spanish International suffered a knock during pre season which has kept him sidelined for a month. He played for 45 minutes during their 3-0 League Cup victory over Crewe Alexandra! Bielsa now faces the dilemma of whether to keep faith with the Cooper / Struijk partnership! The duo have shipped seven goals in two outings; alternatively Llorente could be bought back in the fold! If the Spanish International does start, who should Bielsa drop? Fellow centre back Robin Koch is ruled out after picking up a late injury prior to the Everton game. He was seen earlier this week boarding a plane for Germany! Long term absentee Adam Forshaw continued on his road to recovery with another 60 minutes of game time. The 29yo looked sharp during his display against the Railwaymen! He could very well find himself on the bench at Turf Moor! Rodrigo's inconsistent form has continued. Expect to see him on the bench with a midfield quartet of Harrison, Dallas, Klich and Rodrigo all set to start. Burnley duo Ashley Westwood and Matej Vydra face late fitness tests. The duo missed the 2-0 loss at Liverpool last weekend with a sore toe and a minor knock respectively!
Can't believe I haven't seen any comments about Koch hurt his cock so he isn't playing Anyway, Ayling, Llorente, Cooper, Firpo picks itself for me, if Llorente needs more time to get fully match fit then the height of Struijk at the back could prove an advantage. You know they are going to sit back and play for the set pieces, can't go giving too many away. Forshaw won't be ready and I have a feeling Roberts will start.
Leeds have played 32 games since Diego Llorente’s debut, 16 with him and 16 without him. In the games without him, Leeds have conceded 35 goals (one every 50 minutes). With him, Leeds have conceded just 12 goals (one every 111 minutes with him on the pitch) Llorente has to play, surely
My heart says a win all day here , my head says fek off and mind your own bizz be cheering the lads on and look forward to the famous Leeds crack on with the regulars. Onwards and upwards lads
Playing anything like we did last season we will win barring red cards or ladyluck. Signs were there Saturday it's all coming back. hopefully Llorente will tighten up something at the back if playing which I expect him to be. Junior/Harrison working well. On the ball stuff progressing nicely. off the ball Junior needs to be on his toes a bit more but it will come. Need to get creating for Bammers he works the line well in helping out the team but we aren't giving him anything back so far. Think we only created 1 opportunity for him in 2 games but again it will come. It's getting that team engine up and running again and hopefully it will be at full speed come Sunday. Expecting a win and our first 3 points.
Ell, have you been on the Babycham? Expect Rodrigo to be on the bench with a midfield quartet of Harrison, Dallas, Klich and Rodrigo all set to start! That's like the 2 Rodrigo's
We seem to be picking up quite a few injuries during training. Murderball perhaps ? Anyway means Dallas to left back which leaves us light in mifdield....could Forshaw actually start ?
They both played Tuesday night and therefore shared the dressing room etc with the whole squad. Hopefully all are ok, especially Bielsa given his age.
Just rumours at the moment. But with Firpo out, moving Dallas back, weakens midfield especially with Klich out too, which makes the decision letting both Davis and Huggins go even more baffling
If Dallas has to drop to lb I wouldnt be surprised to see Shackleton start today. Forshaw may not be quite ready for a full match so I think him and Shack will share the minutes. Shack has the energy and running and has looked good so far this season.
Probably see a back 3 of Cooper Struijk Llorente today as they play 2 up front. Ayling Phillips Dallas Raph ??? Harrison Bamford Will the ??? Be Rodrigo Shackleton Roberts or Forshaw
Thought shaks was disappointing on Tuesday night...he kept going though and improved towards the end as Crewe tired.
