England is all about swing and seam

Lords is a flat track for toffs batting. We have not got enough batters. Nor top spinners either tbh.

    God’s country, cricket country

Crazy turnaround from the last test. India’s batting disappeared and their bowling didn’t have much/any effect either, so inevitable result.

I suppose England’s batting worked, but Root was needed to carry it again. Can’t really fault the bowling and fielding, other than I’m not sure what Curran does, apart from let the bowlers that actually do stuff have a rest, very anonymous player all round

Problem with Curran is he’s small so gets no bounce which is fine if your quick and zip it through but he doesn’t do that either. If balla not moving much he doesn’t really offer much.

talk of wood of Mahmoud coming in for him in next test

He sort of reminds me of Collingwood. A spare bowling option and a bit of bat. Just not as good

He cannot be a front line bowler at test level.

In the end england improved their batting line up by putting non automotans in the line up. Hameed is jot test level. England and counties and he failed to invest in his development but he could be if he improves more.

Malan is average hut that better than a guy going through a predetermined routine of motions not knowing what the hell will happen

Bairstow and buttler have been poor though. Really disappointing this summer

That was as good a bowling and fielding display as I've seen in some time from England. Outstanding. STFU MITO

Oh right so failing with the bat is fine if you batch a few behind the stumps that any slip fielder or wicket keeper should.

    Got it.

My comment was entirely about englands batting.

Neither have been great with the bat, but my original comment was about the bowling and fielding display.

Darren Stevens. 45 years old. Still going strong for Kent. Scoring another hundred

Fourth test today. Few injury issues, but let's hope it goes the same way as the last test <ok>

If the first 4 bat like they did last test then we have a chance. The next 3 or 4 need to bat an awful.lot better.

    Innit!

Could piss rain all the time.

They might come out and kill us cos they are angry. They could come out and get skittles.

But in the end the pressure is on the middle order now. Hameed scored well but went into his shell. Needs to be brave and he can grab a chance here. Malan needs to grab his shot but at least he looked like a batsman. They could all fail but at least they looked like they could cope unlike sibley and Crawley

hmmmm england win toss and elect to bowl. Its a big big call.

The pitch looks like it could fall apart so we have put ourselves in on the 4th innings when it could be really difficult.

Right now we are 1 down for india and one out for review.

    india 2 down.

If they continue this way the decision might be good.

I see anderson is not himself here. he didn't look right the second indian innings last game.

He might have only got one wicket in the 2nd innings, but he bowled beautifully. Indians are struggling here.
