It was given for denying a goal scoring opportunity, hits his knee then into his arm, harsh red for me.

 

Very harsh.

 

I thought it was harsh red, but don't know the rules that well. I always think it's odd we punish a player twice, much like when a goalkeeper gets sent off for a foul, and also concede a penalty, well actually they get punished three times, because they will also serve a match ban.

 

They scrapped that, as long as the last man plays the ball.

 

It looked to me as if it had already hit his arm from the deflection before his arm moves in the direction of the ball, so the movement of his arm had no impact on the play.

 

It's hit his arm then he has moved his arm on the ball in an attempt to clear it.
Red all day long.

 

I'm sure in the rules it says something about, it don't count if the other team wears read.

 

Thought I'd add an 8th post to the goons matchday thread, poor sods.

 

If it is handball and it stops a goal it is a red card. It is explicitly stated in the Laws.

 

Seemed harsh considering it came off his knee...not that I am worried about Chelsea being ****ed over

I don't think that's the correct decision.
He doesn't give it live and the ball bounces off James' leg and onto his arm, then he moves it.
It's not in an unnatural position, for me. Clear and obvious error? I don't think so.

 

I wonder whether Fabihno is Taylor,s love child. All he did was run around kicking people. All he got was warnings.
