What a fantastic strike on the volley by Weimann, so deserve it IMO.. Performance I have to say has been brilliant.. Pring has grown in confidence no end..
Great win lads and well done to all of you. Heart stopping as usual but I'll take the 3 points. Fantastic noise from the travellers.
FT: 1-2 - Severnside Derby delight for Bristol City It's a third win in a row at the CCS for the Robins. Andi Weimann magnificent today but many other Bristol City players too.
Great win, all players played well today.. Atkinson needs a mention super game for him. Fantastic two goals from Weimann., looked tight and confident at the back. Unlucky with their freakish goal.. Today was a very good and all round performance. Well done City
Again agree with this. I could not be more proud today, everybody was excellent, if Weimann's first goal was brilliant the 2nd was out of this world, please, please, please he is a striker he comes alive in the 6 yard box is always a threat, leave him there. We will almost certainly not come up against a more physical team all season and to a man we stood up to the challenge and gave at least as good as we got. I am just so happy to see so much fight and spirit in the team, it's been missing far too long. Martin went straight in to protect Semenyo it's great to see the attitude 'you f*** with one you f*** with us all". The good news is the training staff can work on the bits that need work and not have go back to the drawing board. For our resident Cardiff fan, for what it's worth I think you are a better side than Swansea but today we got the breaks at the right time, but one thing is for sure that both back lines are certainly keeping up the Welsh rugby traditions, I thought in previous seasons it was bad enough at corners and free kicks but now referees are allowing all over the pitch.
Don't know what they were all watching then, thought our boy's looked fairly composed and in control most of the game, we actually looked like a unit, which I haven't seen for a couple of years! Not many weaknesses today IMO.. Massengo was everywhere, but does need to work on getting into more space, allowing himself to pick his passing better and have a dig at goal more often....although he did nearly bend one in the top left corner...he is close to being not just a good player but a really good player.. NB. Hardly recognised Flint, needs a bloody haircut!!
Bulletin from your resident Cardiff fan (I presume you mean me?).......With a bit of luck we could have won that....... Look Jiff me old mate, Weiman did very well for your first goal in getting on the end of that pass, but our keeper Phillips looked like he was singing the chorus of "should I go or should I stay" when he saw that ball come through. Our equaliser was very fortunate in that Bentley's head got in the way of your clearance off the line. Weimann's second goal was a worthy of winning the game - Banks and Shilton doubling up for us wouldn't have saved that. Null points for us and trois pour vous - c'est la vie.
I also feel proud today, after their equaliser I was impressed with our fantastic response. We didn't lie down, we fought back. Great team selection against their giants and a great team togetherness and performance. Well done all.
One of my highlights was Joe Williams saying “****” when they scored on commentary. Then saying “love it” when Martin steamed in against Morrison.
A great move by NP to play Baker at LB over Dasilva against a big physical Cardiff side. It gave us the extra strength we needed defensively. A think Cardiff just edged the first half, but we bossed the second half and created the more goal threatening chances.
Agreed but I have to say I did have a little chuckle when DaSilva got the ball in their corner and even their big hairy arsed defenders couldn't knock off of the ball.
I was in a hurry to take my great grandson to the seaside and had a senior moment remembering your handle. Where incidentally I met another happy BCFC fan.
just got the result magnifico been in a dead area for a couple of days … need more hilltop towers!!! 1 on the top of penhill would sort out the problem ……. some interesting results and teams to look out for... Huddsfield PNE .. QPR ..!
