Yep. I saw him play against us for Swansea and he caused us all kinds of problems with his energy and pressing. He was neat and tidy on the ball and ran in behind creating space for others around him. I saw him as an instant upgrade for Klich's position in Bielsaball. Genuinely think it was a poor decision by him to go to Palace. I still think he will thrive but I just think he would be playing international football within a season playing under Bielsa. It was a perfect fit and the one signing I craved for the last couple of years. Never mind. I see O'brien scored for Huddersfield today too.
Yes and we’d have increased the value of a Chelsea asset by about £40m, seeing as the only deal available was a loan with no buy option. No thanks.
I think you mean ‘no option to buy’ Gessa and if so you’re correct. Been there done that. Once bitten twice shy.
Oh, I agree completely. However I probably go against the grain in saying that I would have been quite happy to have broken our transfer record to get him. On another note...Poveda got an assist today for Blackburn.
Chelsea are being shafted here by a **** ref and a corrupt VAR. James sent off for deliberately handling on the line….. er no the ball hit his knee then rolled up his body into his arm. He had no chance but yet again VAR shows ref a still of the ball on his arm. Last week Cooper sent off because ref wasnt shown the whole event, just a still of Cooper with his arm around DCL this time Ref sees just a still of ball on arm, penalty and sent off. Stupid
I'm confused with all this, thought they changed the rule to double jeapody or is that for some other offence. Haven't seen it but sounds like Koch's there last season but then again I thought they changed that rule shortly after as there were similar incidents later and penalties not given. Ffs no wonder fans get pissed off
Ooper wasnt sent off obviously but it shouldnt have been a penalty if the ref had seen the whole incident, but was only shown the last frame. James was just sent off because it was deemed deliberate handball stopping a goal? The ref was only shown ball hitting arm not what led up to it
