    It was a genuine attempt to get the ball, which is why it wasn't a red. But genuinely attempting to get the ball and failing is a penalty.

    I must admit that I fully expected to hear Mike Dean say that Armstrong's leg was only slightly broken, not enough to give us a penalty.

    Great overall performance and on another day it’s a comfy 2-0 win. Looked sluggish in the last 15 minutes though.

    Jack Stephens is a good footballer but he always seems to be a yard behind the opposition goal scorer. Bring Bednarek in. Salisu was excellent.

    West Ham only drew at home to Palace, Villa only drew at home to Brentford. No easy games in the PL. This is not a bad result at all.

    Bare in mind this is the same guy that used VAR to give a penalty and a red card when Bednarek breathed on a Man U player last season. (I think it was Mike Dean anyway).

    The white blonde German girl got racist abuse? Really? I didn’t follow it closely enough. I assume xenophobic abuse (and misogyny probably) but not racist abuse

    Yeah, that's always been Jack's biggest issue. He's good when play is in front of him, but he's a yard slow reacting to potential danger.

    Midfield pairing still look off the pace and the strikers couldn’t get in the game at all, so hopefully improvements to be seen there from players we know can play.

    Will 100% take a point from there, we lose that game 3-0 most seasons.
