So, the player wants to come to us, his club want to sell to us and we have the money to pay the transfer fee and his wages...and it's still ****ed up?

Maybe this is this window's Dybala image rights or Aurier's work permit?

    We do find them.

Have faith, Bri. Don Fabio's gonna get this done.

Might need someone to just temporarily kidnap the lad's Dad so that he stops interfering and then Moriba should be pictured in our shirt sooner or later.

Be another exciting signing if it does happen though. We'll have a midfield three sorted for the next 10 years with Skipp, Moriba and Sarr providing all hit their potential.

The kid looks to have talent and could be a great signing, but this looks as though it could play out over a time frame not unlike the unseemly battle of United v Chelsea over Jon Obi Mikel.

The kid would be best advised to appoint someone other than the current twat and do it sooner rather than later (irrespective of whether he signs for us or not). His agent is acting more like a third party owner, which should be very worrying to all concerned and if we have to continue to deal with him, I'd rather that we walked away and hope that we have a back up plan.

Thankfully with only about 5 days left of the window we'll find out one way or another how this all pans out.

It's almost as if professional players shouldn't have relatives as their agents though... There's a lad already here who could probably vouch for that.

Quite glad our lad has such an incompetent agent to be honest.

Pape Sarr is a wonderful young talent and I cant wait to see him next season. Hes got everything. If we can also bring in the young Barcelona midfielder Moriba then with Skipp and Gill that is a brilliant young midfield.

Add in Tanganga, Reguilon, Sessegnon, Romero, Rodon, Scarlett, Parrott, Devine and Bergwijn all players 23 or under we have a brilliant young pool of talent.

As we know this all about the "Rebuild " and it may take a while to see the fruits of our labour but we theres no denying it we are buying some brilliant young talent.

The key is keeping hold of them if/when they hit that potential.

Joe Hart on leaving Spurs (according to the Mail):

By two weeks into pre-season, I was told no matter what happens, you will not kick a ball for Tottenham. That is what Nuno wanted. I never had a conversation with him and the one we did have was that one.

Look, maybe Tottenham needed a out and had to be firm. But I was thinking what am I doing here? I am fit, ready, committed. I was sad. I needed a few days to get my head together. I loved being at Tottenham.
    ———————

Pretty brutal. I’m sure Hart wouldn’t have been someone that would’ve needed much persuading to leave though tbh, especially when the first choice spot at Celtic was available. Probably could’ve been done a bit more amicably.

Hopefully there’s been harsher stuff said to Ndombele.

I quite rate Nuno for being firm and even a bit harsh with players he doesn’t want, hopefully means they know they need to find a club and get out asap.

Does this mean he will be keeping Winks as we’ve seen him play this season.

If that is how the conversation actually went then it is not good. Very disrespectful of an experienced pro who seemed to be a decent influence on and off the pitch during his brief stay.

However...as it's the Fail, I do wonder whether it's just a fabricated quote from one of their ****e hacks.

I think it’s legit quotes to be fair despite it being the Mail, but it is pretty brutal to someone we wouldn’t have been desperate to shift. I’d love to know what was said to Ndombele, Sissoko, Winks and Aurier!

What a guy :emoticon-0152-heart and what a signing!

This was arguably the last window too where we had genuine successes in terms of players who came in, made us better and lasted for a while; he, Toby and Tripps all joined in this one. Wanyama did arrive the season after but seeing as he was only brilliant in his debut season it’s hard to truly put him down as a proper success. Hopefully this one changes all that though.

Gotta be honest, I know nothing about Moriba. Strikes me as a signing similar to Sarr, so I’m not sure how much we’ll see of him (if we sign him). Also, where does this leave winks? If this signing goes through, he’s got to be looking at his options and wondering how much he’s going to play?

Usually the weekends are quiet during the window, but I’m expecting quite a lot of news this weekend as many clubs still have lots to do with only 4 days left, and the ball has definitely started rolling.

Hopefully we’ll get some news on the departures of Ndombele and Aurier this weekend, which gives us time to wrap up their potential replacements. However, gossip has gone quite quiet regarding Ndombele and I wouldn’t be surprised if this end up being a deadline day cut price deal which we accept in order to get rid of him.

Fingers crossed we’ll see step up the ante regarding a playmaker this weekend and get some news on Aouar, or whoever we end up pursuing.

looking at how much time is left, I think we’ll end up selling Aurier, and loaning out Winks and Ndombele. That’ll be the end of our “outs”.

I see Aouar (or someone similar) potentially being brought in, but I’d be surprised if there’s anyone else. (Other than Moriba, presuming that goes through.)

IMO that would represent a fairly decent window in terms of future planning, but doesn’t really address the here and now. We need to do something about the loss of goals from Vini/Bale, and the over reliance on Kane. - even when I consider how the squad could potentially look come the end of the window, I don’t see where those extra goals are coming from.

so much to do in 4 days, and I can see us being in a position where offers for the unwanted come in very late (and we rightly get rid of) but it doesn’t give us the time to get the replacements over the line.
