All the doubters and haters will be hoping he is 5hit. Personally I hope he's half as good as Keith Edwards was at his age, from the same club in similar circumstances.
So, the Allam's are no longer going to invest in Hull City... We're under transfer restrictions, meaning we're not allowed to pay fees. We appear to have paid a fee for Smith.... I'm confused.....
I'm presuming the details of this transfer have been ratified by the EFL prior to completion.. it does seem strange that we've allegedly agreed an undisclosed fee while under an embargo which prevents us paying a fee .. perhaps the ITK posters have more of an understanding of how this one has got over the line !
Might explain the announcement delay.... To ensure the arrangements were compliant with the terms of the EFL transfer restrictions.
How long does this transfer embargo last, is it for just this season or longer. Can a player sign and a fee agreed to be paid at the end of the season if the embargo is finished?
I’m not ITK over this, but I am over how businesses operate, and this looks very much to me like the fee is zero but that Sheffield United have instructed their press office to spin something so their fans aren’t up in arms about letting a promising asset go for nowt.
