    Aye we all seen the Ched Evans craic. 4 cases though and the club suspended him just before the police released statement.

    How they’ve kept that quiet through the investigation is staggering.

    Blows your mind if he’s done it.

    And many times they are.

    The CPS work on probabilities and whether a case is likely to result in a prosecution (and whether this prosecution is in the public's interests) - the real grunt work happens once someone has been charged

    Well yeah, there's no other way.

    It doesn't mean everyone who's charged is automatically found guilty ...

    ... nor does being a PL football player automatically mean you're innocent.
