Jokes aside but isn't there a wage cap on new signings under the EFL embargo as well as no transfer fees?
Man City will probably look at Haaland or Mbappé as alternatives, who would be better in the long-run. Biggest loser is Kane because he's got another 3 years left on his Spurs contract and clubs won't wanna play hardball with Levy. By the time he's 30, he will have scored a lot of goals for a mediocre team and have nowt to show for it. Kane will be Le Tissier MkII.

We are stymied with this EFL loan/grant/award/bursary/gift, what ever you want to call it. We can't even get sort transfers over the line. What's the betting we end up with some sort of punishment from the EFL for breaking the rules cos we didn't ask (like Derby).
We're only stymied by it if Ehab was gonna spend anything or loan in before loaning out - he knew he wouldn't be doing either when he took the loan.
I never understand why people say stuff like this. They've paid £50m for strikers over the last couple of seasons and they've got loads. As they're also willing to let Jebbison leave, who's meant to be their best prospect, I'd suggest that they aren't making the best calls. Jokanovic will be under instant pressure to achieve, he won't care at all about the future prospects as he knows he'll likely be out of a job in 18 months (a lot sooner the rate he's going). It's a lot like when we sold Cairney for £500k (I think) under Bruce. It's completely short-sighted but when you deliver success people turn a blind eye.
Agree but don't you think the hold up on this one is something to do with exchanging money for the players services?
Four teams in the EFL have an Embargo for “Conditions under monitored loan agreement” Hull City,Fleetwood, Oldham and Scunthorpe. As I see it all four teams have loaned money from the EFL and until it’s paid back are placed with transfer restrictions. The Hull City owners paid themselves a substantial dividend according to the accounts. The Transfer deadline is looming with no sign of movement on the embargo. Money must still be due for the Bowen transfer. Grant has his hands tied in improving his squad. If the owners had any regard for the future success of the club they would repay the loan and make the additional signings the club needs to maintain Championship status. Billy B
