Pleased with that - we’re playing well awsy from home. We should be relaxed and we can get a nice little cup run going.
Would have had anyone playing at home. A tad disappointed in all honesty but its a good chance to get through I suppose!
This is weird! Talk of a good cup run etc when a lot wanted us basically out of the cup and weren’t bothered. I feel a shift in attitude from our fans somewhat
As long as we keep playing mainly the fringe players in it no harm done I suppose and it gives those players a chance to show what they can do.
I’m of a different opinion in that I wanted a more attractive draw, preferably against a good Premier League side at home. It’s been a while since we had an exciting cup tie. Also we’ve been unlucky to have yet another away draw.
Totally uninspiring draw, I suppose the ex Sunderland player they currently have will add a little bit of spice too it....But at the end of the day....Its Wigan... Meh !!!!!
TBH as they and us are more than likely to rest players I think it’s a decent draw, even though we could still do with a few players I don’t think they have the squad depth we have.
Blackpool was a great opportunity for some new players to get match fit and for others to stake claims. That and the fact we had no reported injuries, and no red cards, meant it was a useful run out and the players seemed to love it. I think supporters, myself included, are realising that team spirit comes from everyone feeling involved and a winning mentality being contagious. Over time we've become resigned to adversity but, as you say, there's definitely been a perceptible change in that attitude ... ... we're no longer scared to expect us to win and that's a massive shift in our support.
keep the same team this time out its win win, the reserves get to play more are ready to step in to the first team if needed, the longer they can go the better they will play
Just keep going and trying We will eventually meet the big boys It’s a good test for our squad and game time
Win it and we are one game away from the quarterfinals. That is when others clubs fans will start to notice what is happening here and build the positive vibe about the club.
Wigan played a lot of first teamers in the previous round against Bolton. They’ll go strong against us.
