Hacks already reading into Kane's "this summer" statement and drawing the conclusion that he will 'definitely' leave in Jan. Honestly so full of it they can fertilise every farm in the world twice over.
reports from the likes of Ali gold and co today have already stated that a January move is also out of the question.
Traore is a footballing Forest Gump. I have seen nothing that suggests he could do anything other than run. His control is non existent, he panics in front of goal, his crosses always fly to the first defenders forehead and he always and I mean ALWAYS wastes EVERY good opportunity he has. If he signed for the goons I'd piss myself laughing tbh
It's outrageous that they pissed about all summer expecting us to accept their first bid of €125m. Then they spent £10m less than that on Grealish. They then watched the players we earmarked as replacements (Martinez and Vlahovic) sign new contracts and commit to their current clubs, then with 7 days left of the window they finally submitted a second bid and it was STILL short of the asking price. Sorry but I have Brian Blessed's bellow ringing in my ear: ARE YOU ******ED??
Pretty funny though when you think about it. Strong speculation began around Jan/ Feb that City will look at Kane in the summer. Then Kane done the Neville stuff. The whole summer so far has been “Kane to City” and now with just a week left it’s confirmed Kane’s staying. City will now know any striker they target in the next 7 days, whether it’s a long (Haaland) or short (Ronaldo) term option, the selling club will try and bleed them for a bit of desperation tax knowing they badly need a striker or risk having *no striker* backed up by Jesus on the bench until January at least. **** you, City
Kessie Watch Alessandro Jacobone claims that we're in negotiations with Franck Kessie - but not "sign him this summer" negotiations, more "run down the last year of your contract and join us next summer" negotiations Hopefully this is Paratici dropping some feelers into the Italian press to drag them to the negotiating table, partly so we actually have a first team-ready player this summer, but given how not fun July 1st was for Milan this summer I don't like the thought of them being PO'd with us, especially if there's merit to them being linked with Sissoko
Kounde Watch? Chelsea's attempts to offload Kurt Zouma to West Scam to free up squad space for Jules Kounde has hit a snag, as Zouma was due to have a medical today yet it was called off So, is it worth giving Sevilla a call and see if they're still fine with the £30m + Sanchez deal for Kounde? Or is he hoping that Los Ladrones, Barca or Bayern make a late offer? ...oh wait, that's Ndombele, isn't it?
I'm a little underwhelmed by the news of Kane staying. It has been obvious for some time that Man City would not part with £150m+, especially after signing Grealish. It's only now that Kane has put out a statement that he's staying this summer and will commit 100%. This will definitely kick off again, either in the winter transfer window or next summer. I'm out...!
There’s rumours that last summer we bumped Kane’s wage up to £300k and are now looking to again give him new terms. Some are saying this will include a release clause, others haven’t said either way. Some saying Kane will ask for £400k, others saying we’ll offer about £330k and a contract til 2027. With a bit of luck, City go for Haaland next summer, Icardi smashes in the goals at PSG (assuming Mbappe leaves for Madrid), Lewandowski stays on at Bayern and thus we keep Harry
Romano tweeted earlier today saying Fiorentina have an agreement with Real for the loan of Odriozola but the player’s yet to decide and I thought I’m surprised we aren’t in for him, especially if a loan deal is on the table at the moment which we seem to be pursuing with a number of deals. Now Spanish outlet “El Transistor” are saying we will try and sign him if we can offload Aurier. Hopefully we can find somewhere for Aurier, I’m sure Reggie can put in a good word for us too to persuade Odriozola. Mystic DH.
I have to say that, with a week to go in the transfer window, the fact that there has been a complete lack of interest in Aurier is dispiriting You would have though that somebody out there would be willing to take a punt, especially considering he has just a year left on his contract and all signs point to the club and Aurier expecting him to leave this summer, but...nothing In comparison there's rumours of interest in Sissoko and Carter Vickers (although an offer from somewhere would be nice...) but Aurier has either dropped off the radar really badly in the last 2-3 seasons, or we'll be accepting a pretty low offer before the deadline
Mbappe is only 22, Kane is 28. I think £150 million for Harry Kane is good value even in this market. Lets be honest, who would want to spend money on Serge? He had a run before last Christmas when he looked decent but I think that was largely down to Sissoko protecting him. He has great energy and is capable of scoring or putting in a decent cross but most of the time will hit the first man. Defensively he gets caught out of position and is known to make rash challenges in the box. In a time where money is tight I can't see any club wanting to pay a fee for Aurier when he becomes free next summer. Get rid, if we get a fee brilliant if not at least he is off the wage bill.
