Never knew they were a franchise, just presumed it was a one off (Malta one aside). Best chicken shop around.

You’ve picked one that didn’t. I didn’t say all but a lot do. It’s quite clear you can be good in Holland but not in the PL.

The kid you rave about is nothing special. He left Spurs to go to Holland, I really hope the club doesn’t bring him back and especially lot for big money.

Unless your name is Fabio Paratici or Steve Hitchen, that doesn't really matter does it?

    Eh?

Are we not allowed to give opinions now unless we’re employed by the club?

Can see what King says in that the Eredivisie can be a stat padding haven for average players but I think Madueke is destined for big things.

He was in the same bracket as Skipp and Edwards in terms of hope and potential when coming through the ranks.

At 19 he's immediately becoming one of the brightest stars in Holland and he's showing why a few of us were gutted when he decided not to sign pro terms here and make the switch.

We're not the only side who's been linked with him, Dortmund and Leicester have shown an interest and they're two teams who do well in the transfer market which is always a good indicator, especially Dortmund who are probably the leaders in signing top prospects in Europe.

I'd much rather we splashed dough on bringing him back than on Traore. I think Madueke's ceiling is much, much higher.

If I want to see somebody ****ting on a player we're linked with without having the balls to suggest who we should be looking at in that position, I'll visit the blog of that Baddiel-faced malcontent who moans for cash

We've reportedly got scouts at PSV's match with Benfica this evening

At the very least this makes it look like we're looking to make an informed decision between Madueke and Traore, which would also suggest that Khvicha is slipping down the list

There's also Luis Diaz at Porto who's been linked, but given he has an €80m release clause the only way that's likely is if we send Ndombele their way, and that would involve spending a lot of time, effort and money in duping him to believe he's actually heading to Barcelona instead of Oporto

One of the advantages of re-signing a player is that you already know a lot about him. You've seen his strengths and weaknesses in training. Much more likely to be a success than someone you've only seen in a few matches. Nuno has the same advantage with Traore of course.

La Repubblica report that Juventus have given Allegri the green light to sign Ndombele

Of course, us being us here come the wrinkles

On the one hand the same Repubblica report claims that Juve director Federico Cherubini (who replaced Paratici) is a fan of Ndombele while Paratici is a fan of Weston McKennie, who Allegri has publicly slagged off. On the other hand, Romano says we have no interest in McKennie

Frankly, given the other potential makeweights are Aaron Ramsey or Adrien Rabiot, McKennie is not only the best option of the three, but given how Rabiot is on that list he's also the sane option

It's also worth noting that McKennie and Aouar have the same agent, so if Paratici fancies a little 2-for-1 negotiating...

Over night reports coming out that Real Madrid have tabled a £137m bid for Mbappe , not bad for a club that's supposed to be broke

Rodney won’t get this deal over the line. They’ll end up having to get their other brother, Del-Boy, involved.

Are Madrid in the same boat as Barca then? Not seen much on their position. They've just got the other half of Bale's salary back too.

Of course, the fact that a player with one year on his contract is valued at £137m further undermines The Sheikh Mansour Team's posturing about what they deem to be a reasonable fee for a player with three years left on theirs
