Hopefully the end of us buying anyone who from the start doesn't want to be here and who's just turning up for the wedge
Won’t matter if it a season long loan, he’s in the final year of his contract now. We will be rid either way. I suspect there will be some element of either salary subsidies or payoff so financial loss either way.
As long as we get shot of the unprofessional fraud I couldn't care less how he leaves, or to where. Not quite in the Rodwell category but he's been a nightmare none the less.
If he goes to another L1 club, I would like to see a clause in place that he cant play against us either home or away for this season only.
I’d imagine the club retain Grigg till end of window in hope of a bid, if it passes 31st pay him off. He’s not gonna play, he’s gonna be a massive negative around the club, and his contracts up anyway. There’s zero value having him anywhere near the club.
If we can't shift him for a fee or a loan it wouldn't shock me if they pay him off just to be rid of him.
I do not think we will 'send him to Coventry' so so speak, I think the Union frown on that sort of thing
I was told that's been agreed unless someone comes in for him. If we pay him off we'll retain his registration. The lad who told me has been right with a few things in the past.
It's good that we would hold his registration to make sure that he can't go elsewhere, just a pity that we can't use him to sweep up litter at the AOL a during the week and at SOL on matchdays.
Well, assuming the pay off isn't his next years salary, that would make sense. If no-one will take him,and he won't lower his expectations, let's pay him off at,say,50% and be done. Can't see that holding his registration under those circumstances will be legal like?
would the greedy twat take that though, i think he would make them honor the contract he is that type of ****.
so, retaining his registration...would that mean he is still 'our' player and won't become a free agent until the end of his contract? as i do not like the idea that we pay him off and some other club gets him on a free for the rest of the season.
Would expect an employment tribunal to not like that mind. If you pay him off he is no longer your player so I can't imagine we can stop him playing. That would be seen as restrictive and would think unlikely to hold,
