not sure if this has already been posted, but Newport manager, Michael Flynn, has tested positive for Covid so will not be at the game on Wednesday. https://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/n...unty-boss-michael-flynn-tests-positive-covid/
I’d like to see; Forster Valery Salisu Stephens KWP Diallo Romeu Livramento Redmond Adams Tella Let’s try and get a nice confidence-boosting 4 or 5 goals. See what Tino can do on the wing. When we're 3-0 up bring on Simeu, Broja, Finnegan or that lad that got 5 goals in the youth game. Give JWP, Perraud and A.Armstrong a rest.
Not only that, but his preseason was interrupted by the injury and he still needs more game time to get up to full match fitness. I would absolutely play him and I will be surprised if he doesn’t play.

Interesting to see people picking our first team. No disrespect to Newport but our second string ought to do this.
That’s my fear. We field a second string, not used to playing together...and then wonder why we struggle. By all means include a couple of players for experience, but no talk of a second string. Teams that disrespect the opposition get what they deserve. Stay in the cups as long as possible and players will get chances....go out early and we are left with increasingly important PL games with few opportunities for fringe players.
I would expect to see : Forster, KWP, Bednarek, Stephens/Salisu, Perraud JWP/Romeu, Diallo Walcott, Redmond Adams, Tella So only 5 from the weekend but not exactly disrespectful or a team not used to playing together . Perhaps Armstrong for Walcott if he needs some fitness and is over his knock but more likely as a sub We aren’t going to be making 11 changes anyway. We still don’t have the squad for that. Wouldn’t be able to at LB, CM and CB unless we went Valery and KWP. But we need one of JWP or Romeu in the middle as otherwise it would be too lightweight
Would like to see Broja start alongside Tella. The signing of Small looks close, but KWP might get some more practise at left back. Don’t know if Romeu needs rest or additional match fitness, but looked a little off the pace Sunday. Redmond and either a returning S.Armstrong or a chance for Watts at AM would be good. Newport have knocked out quite a lot of PL teams in recent history, will be a tricky game.
Absolutely agree. They have a 'giant killing' reputation (though the thought of us being giants amuses me). We can't take this one lightly at all, or we'll get beaten.
Yes, because he didn’t have any squad depth last season. Now we have 2 players for just about every position, so rotating one or two each game shouldn’t affect the performance unduly.
