You always want a little more for any outgoing player but thats fine, its more about just shifting him and squad space

So theres no real dressing up that shaq deal. It's way under where it could have been but the players lack of fitness has told as well as his contract position. Tbh, I think the demand is there but there is simply no liquidity in the market at the moment. Teams can't afford players. In a better market, we would have got more.
Theres always a club looking yes but I think it's not only the liquidity aspect that's stopping some wanting origi. Certainly with Lyon they stumped up once they got cash in. No club or a reasonable stature wants origi as hes stunk out loans before.
Origi really has stunk out the place and has stagnated - but to be fair, the guy gets 15 mins here and there, and the odd start. He really needs regular game time and I think there is a good player in there. He needs to kick start his career and he should be open to joining most teams. Not sure if this is true but there were teams that had bid for him after the CL but the club turned it down. And we also gave him a new contract. We handled him situation pretty poorly.
He ran about a bit in preseason 3 years ago and got a go. Here he is 3 years later getting max 10 to 15 mins in preseason or not at all. That tells me we thought hed be sold off by now for a nice wedge but then covid hit and we are stuck with him. I would not say we handled it poorly as nobody could predict covid.
Yes, but there is the academy... We have essentially the same starting XI that won everything before they hit their prime, and the core of that squad is only now hitting their prime. No injuries all season long and we're contenders. Bit of a gamble not bringing in backups (as seen last year)... But in a year of few injuries, we could get away with it. Depends how lucky we are with injuries, I don't feel we need more just to rotate. The occasional kid from the academy can do that.
