Barely any of his crosses cleared our defenders though, often just hitting the first man. He’s a 100m sprinter that just happens to play football. We’ve thrown away a lot of dough on big money signings like Ndombele, Lo Celso etc, he’d be another if we signed him.
Reguilon had a pretty good second half I thought. Probably our best outfield player overall too considering everyone was **** in the first. Massively involved in our goal as well. It was Tanganga that struggled today too against Traore.
Fantastic win and a real gutsy performance by Spurs. Theŕe really is a togetherness and spirit in our team now. Fitness is so much better and that shows in the last 20 minutes of the two games so far. Yes our passing was loose and sloppy at times but credit to Wolves they pressed us so well. Sanchez and Dier were very good again and Reguilon put in a great defensive shift at LB. Hojbjerg was just Hojbjerg all action display again and Dele worked his socks off. Bergwijn played well too. A great start to the season after two very difficult games. Let's hope this coming week Paratici gets the 3 or 4 signings we need and a few go out the door.
You are kidding aren't you, DH? Or maybe I was watching a stream from another game. I lost count of the number of times that he either misjudged a WW crossfield pass, was too easily brushed aside or just got caught out of position. There were numerous candidates for 'worst of a bad bunch', but he was up there with the worst of them.
Thought Sanchez was terrible today, all over the gaff. Dier could’ve/ should’ve been responsible for Wolves’ equaliser too, Lloris bailed him out.
Nope, judging by one or two other posts I think you’ve got my Winks-esque tunnel vision with Reggie here, mate . Think he was the only defender to come out of today with a bit of respect.
The result shouldn't cover up that too little has changed since last season, It's the same players producing the same limited football. Skippy and overall fitness apart, it's as if Mourinho was still in charge. In addition to Romero, we desperately need 3 or 4 first team ready players and Kane cannot be sold...
I like the guy. Definitely a player in there mate. Painful though it may be, watch the highlights, you'll see I'm right lol
Defensively he’s gotta improve massively but I don’t think he was too shabby today apart from misjudging one or two high balls. Offensively he broke forward for us a good few times that initially involved him intercepting the ball and his pass to Dele for the pen was perfect. He’s played better but I don’t think he was bad today and was probably one of the best of a bad bunch. Lloris MOTM though, fitting too what with it being on his 300th league game.
Under the context of the game:- How on earth we've walked outta-there wid three points, defies logic. Well played Wolves.
Maybe I'm in the minority here but I thought Sanchez and Dier were good today. Obviously not perfect there is always a mistake brewing with them but overall I was pleased with them. It's our lack of creativity in midfield and lack of an incisive passer that let us down badly today. We just continually invited pressure on to our defense. We desperately need three signings- Tomiyasu , Aouar in midfield and a versatile forward. Obviously Sarr is a crucial signing for the future.
