Sounds like his attitude was wrong too, particularly last season. He looked tubby, slow and lacked the basics. Hopefully he'll come back as he initially arrived. But he couldn't continue at City the way he is. We can't afford to carry anyone....
If I'm reading it right, Scott would still have a year left on his contract when he returns, with the club having the option of a further year. So not so bad in terms of risk of losing him for free. It's an odd one though. However, I / most of us don't know what these problems are that he's had since he's been here (bar the injury of course). He's obviously still highly rated by those that know, but I never saw anything to get excited about. Is the Sheff U lad a loan or a signing? Another young un with no experience at this level and not good enough for a Championship rival. Will he really be a better 'plan b' than KLP down the middle? If it is him, then fingers crossed, but it's hard to get excited once again. We need an experienced CB.
As you rightly point out, none of us know what the situation is with Scott but it looked fairly obvious that he never settled? He's a young lad and that can happen when you're far from home. As for the Sheff Utd lad, worth a punt because as it stands we lack pace and a potent threat up top.No disrespect to Magennis but we need an alternative and a young hungry player to go at the opposition on a regular basis, this could be the break the lad needs in his career,I get it's a gamble but if it's going to happen then we give him our support and his chance.Potter is best left as is and when Wilks comes back we've got 3 young lads up front and alternatives on the bench. In an ideal world we all wanted that 'blow your socks off' centre forward but if it isn't going to happen then we take what's available and go with it.
We all knew it was going to be tough this season. Deal with it and enjoy the terrace banter again maybe... They won’t be here forever. Your club awaits.. Allam’s OUT.
I don't get why people don't like this signing. His goals per 90mins is very good in a really poor Swindon side, it's very similar to an Ellis Simms. We're getting him permanently & for peanuts.
No need to 'panic',they fit 'hand in glove' with our game plan and apparently young Tyler is a 'charming man'... Anyway, work beckons,I had one too many last night and I'm 'still ill'...I'll get my hi viz!!!
Looking at the upcoming fixtures and GMs persistence to stick with the same formation no matter who we are playing we could easily be on a run of 7/8 defeats on the bounce. We knew this and makes you realise how important the Derby game was. We need experience at the back which we won’t get as our owners have tied GM’s hands behind his back over £500,000. On top of that fans will turn on GM very quickly especially after having 3/4 beers in them. I hope I’m wrong but this could get ugly very quickly.
From Sheff Utd. IF this is true, I think you might have answered your own question. Of course, IF it happens, I hope we are pleasantly surprised .
If it’s Grigg, what type of forward is he because I’m vaguely trying to remember when I’ve seen him play and if I’m right he didn’t have great speed, wasn’t a big strong hold up the ball forward but more like i don’t think it’s a fact of people not liking him, I just think that many think we already have a number of players who have not yet proved themselves at this level and this lad is another one. Let’s be honest it’s a gamble when unproven but let’s hope he adds something different and surprises us.
