Do pundits' comments have to be 'useful'? Just an observation, nothing more, surely? Profit: Nice to see Scotland get on the scoresheet yesterday - bet you lot gave him the bird. And one from the old boy too.
Chopra got a good welcome from the fans, didn't over celebrate when he scored, and got clapped off...............scotland got what he deserved...........as did Cardiff, although they could have had at least one more penalty, I understand swansea got what they deserved yesterday as well.
Why did Scotland get what he deserved? A good professional who has always conducted himself with dignity. Do you mean just because he was a Swans player? Bit childish that. And yes we got what we deserved - we were rubbish Saturday.
He got exactly what an ex Cardiff player would have got if he turned out at the liberty a bit of stick, he just got it louder, because the crowd is bigger at the CCS..................he got the "jack bastard" chants, but it didn't go beyond normal football banter, there was nothing racist or overly personal about it. Before you talk about "childish" reactions put your own house in order...............how adult was this? http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2006/apr/05/newsstory.sport9
ffs blue that was 5 years ago, surely u r over it by now
It wasn't me who brought up "childish behaviour" and what about the brain dead muppet who was dressed in a swimming costume, and wearing a swim hat and goggles and spent most of the match at the liberty stadium making swimming gestures at the Cardiff fans...then instead of watching the game he proceeded to turn towards the home fans and made the same gestures to "entertain" them? The idiot didn't have the sense to realise that even the home fans were laughing AT him not WITH him VERY MATURE behaviour ..........so as I say before Cardiff fans are accused of being childish for indulging in what is commonplace football banter, well put your own house in order
i've written a blog for ViewfromtheNin on Darcy if you fancy reading it guys? http://viewfromtheninian.com/2011/10/17/hes-white-hes-mean-he-cant-get-in-the-team-hes-darcy-blake/ I think he's a lot like Phil Neville for Man Utd was and I believe that a utility player, whilst not the most glamorous of squad players to be for the individual, they are vital in the modern game and to most successful teams. Darcy is vital to us in that utility role this season especially with the 5 sub rule (which I still find bloody idiotic due to the development of youngsters and having the right mix of attack and defence on the bench). He seems happy enough and ok his Wales place is under threat if he doesn't play but he'll take his chance when he needs to will Darc. Confident of that.
good work benni the problem with blake is that although he will invariably get a game with us, be it filling in in various positions because of limited depth, or a place on the bench as there are only 5 subs (as you stated), is that he will probably progress better as a footballer at a different club, unless of course he can command a regular place in his best position of CB. i agree every team needs local academy players who have a passion for the club and will give a little more than the typical player you bring in but at the same time you've got to ask how long will blake be content with not being one of the first names on the team sheet? you say he's forced his way ahead of james collins and gabbidon for wales but the first choice partnership will be collins and williams if they are both fit, though it must be said that when he does play for wales he always looks like he has a mistake in him, a lack of concentration for the full 90. perhaps if he was playing every week at CB then he could go on and stake a greater claim to be in the wales first 11. i like him as a player though, gives 100% and puts his body on the line which is what fans love to see
Never did Collins any harm - he's hardly made any mistakes in a Welsh shirt! Darcy over Collins for me, but yes Darcy does need more club game time.
sorry but there is a reason collins is first choice at aston villa and blake is in and out of what is currently a mid table championship team!
2006. Wow.....let it go ffs. I was commenting on something that happened over the weekend As for the old geezer in the swimming costume, well he was funny you have to admit. You're so sensitive, Profit. Lighten up. Hey, one last thing: John Hughs. Quiz question: What team is currently at their lowest position in the Championship at this stage of the season for three years. Answers on a postcard... I know you like quizzes.
