    Would just like to know what are your thoughts on the Harps situation...He's fit and yet he doesn't make our bench..Instead its Rob Elliot who does..
    Furthermore we have Fraser Forster out on loan at Celtic..

    Harps has 2 years remaining on his contract, what's gonna happen to him?

    I think he should definitely be on the bench ahead of Elliott. Hopefully he'll take up coaching, definitely wouldn't want him leaving the club!

    Maybe as a second GK coach, but Andy Woodman seems like he is doing class and seems a proper character

    He does make the bench, but Pardew rotates him and Elliot so neither considers themselves to be 3rd choice. He also gets a lot of injuries.

    Forster will be gone by summer.

    Also, isn't Harper out of contract this summer?

    Edit: Maybe not, nufc.com says 2013 his deal expires

    Harps has made millions out of being a second string keeper...don't fret about the lad. If he had ANY drive, he'd seek out first team football.will he , no way.

    True. He won't wana leave North East at this stage of his career either. Think he has 4 kids and wouldn't want them to move schools etc.

    Boro? Hartlepool? I think he has the options but he's part of the Newcastle furniture like Shola. Solid keeper and happy knowing he's probably one of the best backup keepers in the world.

    Does he live in Newcastle or Easington? If the latter either of those would be perfect for him location wise.

    Read an interview with him and he seemed to refer to Easington using only past tense so I guess he's moved on.

    Something I'd forgotten about him, he's a qualified ref! He might fancy that once he retires from playing.
