I think our future is written in the stars - a takeover saga that could have seen us competing at the very top, has become a 2 year journey to nothingness, with Masters, Hoffman and the EPL at the wheel; laughing at our club and winking at the bigger boy paymasters (pun intended). it’s bizarre, we’re a top flight club but it feels like we’re in the old Conference and struggling to stay afloat. Our shirt sponsors are ****e to look at and cheapen everything about the club. Our owner is our hero for taking on a corrupt corporation; but he’s also been locking out other interested parties over the years… so has contributed. We have the most credibility-lacking manager in the division. We play journeyman Hendrick, a mid-championship level player. We give every team we play a “you’re much better than we are” assurance note pre-game. The print and broadcast media jizzes over every misery we encounter and fails to utter a balanced word about the club. The Guardian employs a Sunderland fan to report on us ffs. We have the most inane Twitter ‘influencers’ possible. ****rabbit levels of money are required if you want to watch us play on telly. Nobody likes us - and we ****ing care about that because we’ve done NOTHING wrong. Feeling down about football.
Could be worse like. Would have preferred Lewis Clark and Longstaff in but it's better than last week
I'd agree with Lewis. Clark was weak last week Longstaff - I would say yes if he was definitely not being sold
I think this post sums it all up quite nicely. I mean everything you said is right. Last weeks performance we just try and pluck any positives like “we looked good going forward”. But the reality is we lost 4-2 after leading 2-1 at half time AT HOME!
