Never a foul there. McNeil tried using both arms to block tsimikas who just outpaced him so he fell over. Refs always fall for it. Thought Keita was decent today. Nothing too fancy but carried the ball nicely.
I've been very impressed with elliot, now lovely touches and passes, always looking for the ball. Also I feel Burnley targeted him certainly in the first half for some very aggressive challenges, he just got up and carried on, no moaning, no crying ,didn't hide. Very impressed
Yeah so deserved a yellow. Like ok, its not a big deal cos people are not taking it as open season to foul and dean is at least keeping the game moving not stopping it at every flop
Elliott looks far better in midfield compared to on the wing. He’s more technical than speedy. That RCM position works well. Linked up nicely with Salah and TAA. Only small thing is he drifts wider so takes up those spaces that TAA likes to love into but then seen TAA come inside a bit more so nice to have bit of variety.
Another lovely pass from Elliott. Second half has grown more into the game and with space on the ball can really show his quality.
Just needs time to improve on the speed of the games. Some of his passes have been too slow or left team mates closed down. The more space he has got the better hes got.
Taylor straight legged both feet showing along the slippery pitch. Ref never beats an eyelid. That's the problem with ref not pulling any cards.
Thought Tsimikas has been very very good. Couple sloppy moments but going forward looks like ideal replacement for Robbo.
Christ. Burnley could have scored 3 in the last 5 minutes here. Really really poor seeing out the game. Just pissed around with the ball at the back and played at a walking pace while Burnley were still running. Quality save from Alisson.
