I was confident in spite of our recent history against them, we would come out on the right side against Everton this weekend, But the real concern was the results that might affect us from our opponents! I, personally, am happy with a point each for MU, L'pool,N'Castle, Spurs---that makes us 2 points better off with all our main rivals... apart from Man City. They did it again, and I've said it before, they are the ones we must regard as our biggest challenge.

AVB must pull out all the stops to ensure we collect all 6 points against this lot to ensure we do the business in the PL. Go get em AVB!!!

Blue <ok> that would be nice but I like being just off the bridle as so to speak, then see what's left in the tank in the final furlong.

Ginge--We've got them in December at home and early March away. So there will be a lot of fingernail biting from then to May! Best bank the points against them early cos we might be doing the biz CL wise by then!

We've got to keep our heads down and just take each game and try to get 3 points from it lads, we are capable of beating anyone in my opinion and all this business of us being the 'underdogs' in this title race is making me happy!

I just see visions of Ramires' goal at the bridge last season every time I think of our game :)

I think you are right. The idea of being the underdogs, and lets face it we haven't been regarded as such for many years now,is probably a good thing! It still remains very big in my mind though that winning our remaing Mancs games is vital!

Each game is vital since we can't count on other teams to win when we need them to. You don't win titles hoping for another team to lose.

All bubbling along very nicely. Only result that I was really bothered with this Season was against Man U, where we should have come away with at least a point.

It appears to be all about Manchester right now, which suits me just nicely. Just about under the radar.

I am concerned about Rameries' injury - hopefully it won't be too serious, he's been excellent for us and although we have options and I'd rather he was in there. He works so hard and covers a ridiculous amount of ground. Love the fact that he gets stuck in at the back and is always looking for space & a good run in the opposition penalty box!

Unfortunately, I can't get to another game until after Christmas and really feel like I'm going to be missing out.

    Croc <ok>

Good to see the lads playing with an attacking flair once again. A draw next week against the two self appointed champions would be nice.

United remain the team to beat, City will implode in the run in when Mancini gets nervous and starts playing 8 defensive midfielders every game!!

I hope you are right mate, but I cant see it! I'm fairly confident we can outgun Utd, but City just have too much in terms of size, experience and quality of squad. Mancini is the only question mark.

Have City actually come up against anyone of note yet?

I mean Utd, Liverpool, Spurs, L'Arse etc?

To be fair they tonked Spurs at the lane 2nd game of the season. That aside (and spurs were beyond awful) they haven't really played anyone yet. This weekend is massive for them. If they can get something at old toilet, it could really push them on. Lets pray for a draw!!

I don't think they have the experience, not of a P.L title run in. This is where Chelsea and United have exceled over the years and say Arsenal have faltered. The big players step up and get the job done. This title will be won and lost in the last 10 games. Up to then I can see us and boths mancs being pretty close.

Whats heartening is that we are getting better by the game! If we can continue in this mould , we only need to concern ourselves with our own games! The great fear is we go into a 2 month free-fall like we did last year when Ray Wilkins got dumped!

xmas always seems to screw us. Not sure why but our xmas record has been quite poor over the last few years.

Agree we are getting better but a little wary given the teams we have played. The only real top team we have played is United and we lost. Nice to beat Everton on saturday though given our recent results with them but until we get another 2 or 3 of the real big games out the way I don't think we will really know how we are doing (same with City as well).

The thing is, though, with our schedule, we have Arsenal next week, then it's almost a month until Liverpool, and then similar until City. Only other "big" team we play before the new year is Spurs. Anyway, it always feels like it's the smaller teams that catch us.

Slightly unintentional, but in hindsight was a good move.
