If Grigg leaving depends on someone leaving Doncaster, why don’t we buy that player, then sell him in the next window?
Aahh but didn't Grigg day he wants to be near his family in the Midlands? I know Doncaster will be closer but is it close enough? But if it gets him away from here then I'm in
Makes a change for us to be able to tell a player we'd like him to stay,we think he has a great future, and make a contract offer, knowing that,if he turns it down,we're already covered in the position.SAFC.....the times they are a-changing! For my part,I'd like to see Denver stay....if he's fully fit....I think he has a lot to offer us going forward down the left. He's got a good left foot,he will run at players and take them on, and he has decent delivery from the left. He'd be an asset and I hope he ends up staying.
I think he will end up leaving. Left himself in an awful predicament, most probably through ****e advice from his agent.
Well that would be a shame. I think he could do a good job for us further up the pitch. McGeady isn't going to play every game, and Denver,as an alternative would be good. I think the lad is a nice footballer, not as a defender, but going forward from the left side. Mind you,he's got to be proven fit. Hopefully he'll see sense, bin his agent and do the right thing. If his aspirations are Championship football,he can do that with us,he doesn't need to move.
don't mind hume like, has a bit pace about him and can get a good cross in, obviously some work required on his defensive duties (if/when needed) and a bit on his final ball...if he is sitting on agents advice then he needs to get rid as he is almost in a far worse position now than he was, injured and needs to show he has recovered fully and did not really stand out in games enough to attract buyers.
Interesting on Dale, had a feeling he still might move on. I'd like to think we were in for him if the price is right
