I believe the embargo prevents us from paying off contracts as well, both were just mutual terminations.
McCann - "He can play through the middle, different to Magennis, different to Eaves, more of an on-the-shoulder number nine".
I'm not 100% sure who it is yet, I know it was down to 2 and both are different to what we already have and will give us a different set up I'd say
Based on my current fitness levels, providing I don't eat too much Christmas lunch, I'll be good to go sometime in January!
... couldn't that have been KLP? (happy though if we are signing a decent striker that offers another option to Magennis <who I do rate, but can't do it without decent service .... so long as he stays onside obvs>.
On Wednesday, it was more like lobbing in crosses time and again for Davies and Jagielka to gobble up all night long, with typically only Magennis anywhere near them. Truly bizarre, and part of why jury remains out for me on McCann.
It's been begrudgingly admitted in-house that experience at the back needs addressing. Unfortunately there isn't much about that fits with our budget and ticks the boxes
This has been my biggest criticism of our playing style. There's no mixing it up, it's either all crosses or all long balls. Yes, we play with wingers, but one of the key reasons Jarrod was so successful was because he cut inside and had a go, we don't see enough of that from KLP. Wilks yes, but he's out at the moment. We've got to be braver and not worry about missing the chances, because they won't all go in but if we don't even try, the keeper isn't earning his money. Kelle Roos had bugger all to do on Wednesday because we didn't shoot, we focussed on getting it wide instead of firing the ball at him. Fulham won't afford us much in the way of chances so we've got to have a go when the opportunity arises.
