Well said mowgli. I'm a double jabbed old fart with COPD, not heavy but enough to make me take extra precautions, avoiding crowded situations, wearing a mask and handwashing. Keeping some friends at a distance was difficult at first one, in particular, was a bit dismissive of the risks but came to understand my concerns. I get some looks when shopping in a mask, I'm thick skinned enough to ignore those twats and the one time told I didn't need a mask I didn't give a mouthful but told the person they had no knowledge of my underlying health problems and shouldn't hand out such advice. Others overhearing chipped in with their disapproval, the Dutch can be quite blunt at times. I don't have much respect for those who blatantly ignore sensible guidelines of which there are a significant number.
But don't forget that you can be double jabbed and still get the virus as I found out last month. Better to err on the side of caution imo.
Make what you will of this but given the close contact on the pitch and the training environment vaccination should be mandatory. Bunch of ****ing ****ers these **** for brains footballers. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...n-vaccinated-covid?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other
Pretty sure I saw an article (Hampshire News?) assuring fans that all players, coaching staff, club officials and stewards have been double jabbed.
Anyone else surprised by the apparent lack of surge in cases? Been 4/5 weeks since we opened up properly and still hovering round the 30k mark. Makes me wonder about how much schools (and perhaps the unreliable LFT's) were driving the big increase previously.
Also worth noting that although case have been going up. Deaths and hospitalisations have not gone up with them. Shows the vaccine is effective at the moment. Although we do still seem to be hovering around 100 deaths a day still
Exactly. A friend of mine who’s in his 70’s and double-jabbed, just came through a bout of Covid (positive PCR) at home with no medical intervention. It works.
If the Euros' final was a super spreader with a reduced crowd for social spacing what will that make today's game with a full house?
100 deaths a day ….. that’s 3,000 a month ….. I’d say that, whilst better than before vaccinations, that’s still WAY too many …… and reported surge in cases after Euros. I’m worried about the autumn and winter …. It took about 10 years for the world to get over Spanish Flu after 1917. Makes me wonder
