1-0 HT. Flat, dull, lifeless, toothless and utterly, utterly boring. It looks like a pre-season friendly for a Spurs XI, at best. Shows the shocking lack of depth that our squad has. I don't think we even managed a shot.
DH's favourite player gives the ball away but that shouldn't lead to a goal. Romero and Davies step up and leave CCV behind to play the attacker onside. We're a team of strangers so this isn't to be unexpected.
Well, that's 46 minutes of my life that I'll never get back... And why is it, when you have such a pile of **** to watch, the feckin' stream works 100%!!
I’ve only caught snatches but it’s looked very disjointed, especially in midfield. Hardly unexpected given the lineup but frustrating to see. Many players grew into the City game as their first match of the season progressed and we’ll be hoping that the same happens here. CCV played his man onside badly for the goal as well, I think. Not great to see, just like the midfield mess that led to them having possession in the first place.
Really poor. Not sure how you change it with that bench though. Hopefully we can keep it to 1-0 or get an away goal, that's about all we can hope for
Dreadful dreadful first half by Spurs. So many powder puff challenges, poor touches and sloppy challenges. The complete opposite to the game on Sunday. I cant think of one player bar Davies and Davies who would get more than a 5 out of 10. Scarlett no service at all but at least he was putting himself about. They need a rollicking at half time and a switch in formation.
There's days where I'm amazed that CCV wasn't moved on a year or two ago, as he seems to be a yard of pace slower than every other CB we have on the books and that leading to issues Today is one of those days
Well, that will do the young lads confidence a boost: being subbed at halftime, when half a dozen more experienced players have been feckin' anonymous.
I can’t work out what the formation is supposed to be, 3-5-1-1 with Gill in a free role? Either way the players can’t seem to work it out either. I wouldn’t mind pulling CCV and having a 3 man midfield with Clarke coming on to the right, or playing Gio on the right with Harvey White coming on in midfield.
If the question is to see what the players can do without Son, Lucas et al on the bench to bail them out, the answer is clearly suffixed by the word "...all"
All the diving and play acting reminding me why I hate European football so much. The PL has its problems, but I would sooner have cheating and corruption off the pitch than on it.
