Can see the future of football without headers. Too many cases that are all seemingly linked back to football.

    Horrible news :(

The thing is though, modern footballs weigh **** all.
Back when Law played they were like ****ing medicine balls. Surely we wont see the same trend of mental deterioration in todays footballers as we did from the guys who played in the 70's and 80's

Watch his documentary, The Law Man.

Was clearly very frail on that, although he was pretty lucid tbf. He looked like he had a few ailments, not just dementia.

Sad to see, people can't go on forever but it's not the way to spend end of life.

Him and Charlton, both giants of the game suffering a horrible condition. What is linked to football and what is down to age is an unknown I guess?

Just seen that part is vascular dementia, isnt that more linked to heart/lung conditions?

Did you hear about a report on damage caused by heading the ball? I was surprised to learn it's not about the weight of the ball but far more to do with the speed of impact. I'll try and dig out a link. I remember the wife of an ex-player I can't remember right now, who was on the main channels when the report came out talking about it.

Or everyone's just gonna start rocking the protective helmets like Petr Cech.

    Sounds poll worthy to me!

Would prefer a ban on headers, or , to preserve the sport in its current form, everyone rocks the Cech head gear?

I think players since the day of Cech have worn all sorts of headgear and facemasks, due to previous injuries. So adopting to all players wearing various styles of headgear would not be a problem, especially with the amount of money invested in players. Some of the top brands would soon jump on board, this could then be fed down to the kids, via the clubs and retailers. If players adopt the idea first, the kids would soon follow their idols.

Also, in the rain those old balls would absorb the water increasing the weight even more...

Obvs may be wrong, but in Dennis' day, werent the balls considerably harder than today?

I would Imagine the chances are less today.
