    He is much better as a left sided forward. Probably worth about 4m when played there. As opposed to £-40m up top.

    I still believe in big Joe (I don't), I reckon he'll come good this year (he won't) and I see a top 4 move in the offing next summer (if that top 4 is in Botswana maybe).

    Seriously though, I think he'll do ok as a squad player this year for a team with our aims.

    To be fair more illogical things have happened - ie Djimi Traore got a champions league medal and Stephane Guivarc'h is a world Cup winner....

    We've clearly got to do everything we can to get Champs league football, or we might lose our Joey to Real or Bayern, until we can do that, let's just double his wages to keep him happy.
