I think Sean was a good player ,a good coach , I dont think he has what it takes to be the boss of a championship(at the mo) side!
I think if Baz wants to protect his investment he needs to sack Dyche and get in a more experienced boss! Hell I would even consider Billy Davies at the mo and I hate the little twerp!
Robbie loudmouth Savage for Watford boss ?
Would still love to see O Driscoll bought in!
I hope I`m wrong and Sean stays turns it round and were all applauding him come the end of the season , I really want that to happen but I cant see how its going to happen ,with what we are using and what we are doing!

I think that SD's future will be decided at Posh at home. I expect us lose our next 2 games and if we lose at home on the 29th he will get the boot.

I have to agree Norway but would add Alan Curbishley and Alan Shearer into the pot. I was never content with the appointment and I just hope the Board act before it's too late and we are consigned to Lge 1. It might be that they will have to 'spend to save' and just hope that they realise that could be a lot less than the revenue lost following relegation.

Late edit: Savage, effin Savage Grrrr, Norway wash out your mouth, take yourself to a dark place and thrash yourself with a stick of cold celery.....

surprised it took that long to get a reaction <laugh>
Curbs might want more cash than we have been prepared to pay ,but has been out of work for a while!
    same with Shearer!
Tisdale? There are people out there with experience that maybe could get us out the poo!

It's a tough one on who we could replace him with. I'd like someone who has experience with working with youngsters... so maybe someone like Ronnie Moore (Dyche could go back as assistant, maybe?) or Sean O'Driscoll. Otherwise it is another up-and-comer with something to prove, but may not work out - think we have been lucky with the last 3 before Dyche, really.

The 'bigger' names would command a much higher wage, and demand a transfer kitty which we just can't afford - and no doubt will jump at the first sign of things going bad!

Now, get yourself down to the supermarket before the celery sells out...

I would not let Shearer near our beloved club, he could not manage a sh1t!
Let's see what happens during the rest of the month and see where we are. We cannot afford to go any lower in the League if we are in the relegation zone by then maybe we do need to look elsewhere. I don't like saying that but if the results don't change, something has to!

Fair point PSH but do you agree that if we wait and see what happens by the end of the month it would be difficult to attract an experienced Manager? IMO we are just hovering above the poo which a Curbishley (Shearer deleted) or similar could rescue.

I see your point as well, I just feel he should be given another two weeks, no more than that though because if we are in the drop zone Nov/Dec No one will want the job as it will be a huge task to turn round and the only way from there is L1 and that will hurt not only financially but the current crop (for what they are worth) will go and we will struggle in L1. So much doom and gloom don't like feeling like this especially about the Golden Boys!

Bloody hell - talk about groping around in a blind panic! Curbishley, Shearer, Ward, Johnson etc etc - what a load of garbage! People slate the club for buying players from lower leagues, why does the same not apply about managers - especially those with atrocious records such as Ward, or those who can't get their teams out of the lower reaches of League 2 such as Johnson? And as for the likes of Curbishley & Shearer - please, get a grip! Why bankrupt the club on numpties like them after all the hard work that's been done recently to avoid just that very thing happening?

I still say give SD a chance to turn things around - at least as long as he's already had, which means up to mid December. If there's no improvement by then, fair enough - replace him.

But get your fingers off the panic button <grr>

Good debate has been provoked here, but the irony is that if we beat Leicester on Wednesday (which is possible given the nature of the league) suddenly all criticisms will stop. Then, if we lost our next fixture (unsure who against), then the criticisms will rain down again. People need to take a long-term view. Unless we really, really slump then we should change the manager, not before (as in we lost 7-8 in a row)...we haven't got the money to make rash decisions.

Unfortunately a win against the foxes would be improbable and even if it happened (hope like hell it does) it is only papering over the cracks!
Whilst people are unhappy with the results the main problem is how these results have been achieved, the clueless play , bad tactics , average players brought in etc etc!
If we carry on as is relegation will happen ! We need to change the style , the tactics and some of the personnel ! At the least ,lose a game playing well playing good football ,rather than lose by being inept!

    I don't expect us to win either of the next two games, away to Leicester and away to Hull, but following that, it is;

    Peteborough (home)
    Middlesbrough (away)
    Porstmouth (home)
    Donny Rovers (away)
    Bristol City (home)
    Ipswich (away)

Other than the M'Boro game, all these games we should be looking at picking up points from, and the home games are all games we rally should be winning (even if the Posh game is a family day).

If we are in the bottom 3 at the end of November, I'm afraid to say we really need to be looking at SD's position as manager! There needs to be a big improvement in perfomance, goals scored, goals conceded and points gained....

I definitely concur. It's October. Yes, we've had a bad first quarter of the season, and yes, there doesn't seem to be much to cheer about, but we're not in the relegation zone, and the league is as tight as ever. If we can start scoring, we'll be ok..and i'd like to think that will happen.

IF we do get relegated, which we will not be, we will have less games, or no games shown on TV.
