About fucking time. The sustained lies and twisted stories from those pricks really do my head in. Then there's the piss poor level of journalism from the likes of Dick Gordon and Chick Young.
I dont read a lot about Rangers and i dont see much of BBC scotland living in England But what sustained lies Frank? Twisted stories i can imagine - all the media are guilty of that though
Pretty much everything they've written or reported regarding anything on sectarianism, that cunt Lennon, the tax case, the takeover and Manchester. The reporting of our games is utterly shambolic, especially from Dick "we all know Kirk Broadfoot is a diver" Gordon. BBC Scotland is brutally pathetic when you compare the excellent football coverage on 5Live in England. Its been open season on Rangers and its supporters for too long, mainly because we were too spineless to defend ourselves (well Murray and Bain were) so its about time we made an example of the collection of mongs slavering their way through the BBC.
"a pre-determined negative attitude towards Rangers and its fans" "There have also been other instances where the BBC's reporting on the club's affairs has been neither accurate or fair". "a prejudiced muckraking exercise" Infamy, infamy!
I dont know and couldn't care less about other clubs. All I know is the sustained negativity towards Rangers from the BBC should have been addressed a long time ago. Alex Rae ban, Nicky Campbell slur, endless biased reporting on sectarian singing..... the list goes on. Fuck the lot of them.
We still have to go along with some basic coverage as contracted through the SPL, SFA. This is actually even better as we can take the piss by sending Kerkar and Jimmy Bell along for the post match interview
I tell you what, say what you like about Sir David Murray but he would have acted with a lot more dignity than this.
Well Rangers FC's statement seems to be pretty clear that they feel they are being singled out, maybe the fans aren't "paranoid" but Mr Whyte seems to have a real bug up his arse for anyone who dares question his motives. I find it rather amusing and a tad petty tbh. Incidentally, the only time I recall anyone from the BBC mention "sectarian singing" was when Rob McLean and Pat Nevin said Celtic fans were guilty of it during last season's Scottish Cup final.
"Furthermore, over the last few weeks the BBC has been involved in making a documentary about the club which appears to be little more than a prejudiced muckraking exercise. I take it Whytey has seen this Documentary which has yet to air? What's he scared of? If it is indeed "Muckraking" then surely there must be muck to rake in the first place?
When BBC Scotland were showing documentaries about the downfall of Celtic in the early 90s and nightly updates on the news did Celtic ban the BBC? Maybe they did but I honestly can't remember that happening.
I think Rangers are off their heads with this one. They can't froce the BBC anywhere as they have to stand their ground and report stories of public intrest even if Rangers don't want them too. Now Rangers have done this the BBC have to keep it up or they will be accused of being intimidated which would do them more harm.
