It is and he should. Except the only person to fire him was also on holiday - just in the UK... So they will limp on together for a while longer, although Johnson is being lined up by Tory. Grandees for the boot as soon as they can safely ditch him with all the toxic **** on his back. Vile feckers, the lot of them
Don't you dare go on holiday in case something kicks off in your work lives Most of what you have both posted is total bullshit, good headlines but still bullshit
This will come as a shock to you but I am not a senior member of the Govt. There is nothing that will crop up in my work that means people will die due to my absence. And I just copied a story from the Tory press that was interesting to me. Not least because it suggests problems in the Tory camp.
Didn't say anyone had. But if he is not signing off on plans for evacuation then there is a potential for loss of life if the new regime seek revenge on "collaborators".
Is that your point, the Taliban leadership swanning in from Doha promising peace. Is that what you think I haven't listened to? Meanwhile women are shot for holding up the wrong flag and army leaders have control on the ground. If I was there, I'd want out sharpish just on the off chance that they are not as good as their word.
I listened to the whole of their press conference whilst driving between jobs, very reasonable but not something that would sway me. I also listened to Middle Easterern experts after that press conference, some great insights into the reasons behind the rhetoric and why it could be very viable, you should listen to more than one source. Many interesting points were raised such as the financial situation of the country with regards to female rights and Saudi was pointed out as a pointer to this with the fact that they now have allowed women to drive because they can no longer afford driver for them (disclaimer, i am no expert on the cause of this) They worrying part is that the Taliban have said that whoever the put in charge (accept) as a government will abide by Sharia law. I am no expert on this as most westerners so will wait to see what happens. 20 years, new leaders, mobile phones, social media, world condemnation and forward thinking. Do you believe there is no chance of a change in attitude?
Saying that an Islamic country is going to abide by Sharia is largely meaningless. They all do. Various countries, including this one, claim to be Christian. What that means is open to interpretation. That spokesman made it clear that they're going to use a strict version, as I'm sure you'll remember. All women will have to wear the hijab, according to him. That's a sign of the direction they'll be going in. I don't see any reason why people think that they'll be different this time, in any meaningful manner. If the KKK started running America, then would you be giving them the benefit of the doubt?
Saudi's an odd one. I think things will change there as the environment and finances do. There's clearly nothing in the Quran or Hadith about women driving, so it's not hard to change things. They still locked up a bunch of women and abused them though, despite the law switch.
Yeah, was only pointing out that certain things can change due to financial restrictions, religious law or not
The Taliban's main influences are probably going to be Russia, China, Saudi and Pakistan, though. They won't care. Get in, grab the resources and let them do what they like, as long as they're not interfering in your ****.
