I'm in New Zealand man, all I have to go on are papers and the internet! I suspect you are right and we are looking at a number of players none of us have seen links to and they will be good options based on our last couple of windows. However, I do still feel we are at a disadvantage now trying to recruit with the window closing quickly. No teams will want to release starting 11 players now the season is underway - maybe a small premium but more likely a decent one : ) Anyway we are back in lockdown here in NZ so I shall be doing more internet trawling. No pun intended. Seriously.

I still think we need a first team ready CB and CDM at minimum before the window shuts. We can't go another season conceeding 68 goals and we are currently weaker defensively this season than last. And we should have the money for it, we supposedly had budget before selling anyone and still in theory have around £25m left from player sales too.
I think this is the sort of centre back who fits our criteria much better. Got this from a Forest supporting mate. Worrall is a real leader according to my mate. https://www.nottinghamforest.news/2...e-for-nottingham-forest-star-joe-worrall/amp/
Nice to see the club are relaxed about the likely difference between relegation and survival. Hope they aren't looking for a bargain, could well be bartering over a difference of £10m when relegation would cost over £100m, paying more for an experienced quality CB is actually the sound financial decision here.
We're relaxed and confident of getting a CB. That has never gone sideways. It's not like I've had that phrase in my signature for several years because every time we say that we're relaxed and confident about something happening, the thing doesn't happen.
Yeah we are going into the season with more red flags than a recent climate report and the outcome is going to be “we tried”
Oh dear a few clenched sphincters concerned about the relaxed approach to Vesty's replacement. Bit to early for me to consider relegation, I'm impressed with the incomers this window, we have an improved squad and can expect more cover at the back.
We’ve done well to get rid of deadwood but I think calling our squad improved is a real stretch given we’ve lost Ings. Yes we’ve got some depth in the full back positions but we’re incredibly bare elsewhere
I agree the incoming players all look good, the game is a team one so one position out of synch alone won’t create relegation - the team’s attitude of folding when going behind might though.
Apparently we’re after Thierry Small, a 17 yr old ‘wonder kid’ from Everton. Because we need an experienced leader type.
