He has an agent so I'm guessing he didn't sort it himself, but either way both financially and for his career, he's better off with this move, his a great kid and hopefully he can kick on and enjoy a good career.

They don't, that's why Messi left.

Messi helped cause it if you remember his contract shenanigans last season.

    Croc tears mate.

Any other business would have been wound up trading off those figures - if not for the political climate of Catalonia combined with the madness of Football.

Still. This is only the start of it for Barca I fear.

Not disagreeing, just pointing out they haven't 'got around' the La Liga wage cap.

They have...it's 105% of income....with Messi it would have been 110%.

Indeed, and they're still shedding players and wages.

Oh dear. I would rather Eaves go if it is a choice between the two of them.

I suppose when your £500K in debt to the EFL beggars can't be choosers

I do wonder why, if clubs want him on loan as a striker...

And McCann really rates him as a striker...

And we signed him as a striker...

And everyone says his best position is as a striker...

We've never bleedin' played him as a striker?

Maybe we can run things as well when the money is raised to buy City and make us a fan owned club like them?

True enough, what they’ve got away with is scandalous. I echo your “**** ‘em”

I was very pleased with the signings we made early on in the transfer window and thought we were seeing the makings of a real good season here. I know we are talking about half a mill in this loan but it’s hamstringing us to the point of disrupting the process of team building. I know we might get Hudds back and all round I think he will be a huge asset to the club but we still need another centre back and a centre forward. A couple of injuries in the wrong positions and we will be in a bit of a pickle. Surely the club can finance the loan somewhere else. This is one hell of a gamble.

Would it be a loan or permanent?
