And how many of those resulted in dropped points? And can you list the occasions he won/saved us points, for balance as I'm sure you're a level-headed sort.

Is that lad from Stoke who kept getting loaned out end of last season their first choice now? He was very good.

Looks that way, he’s started both league games this season.

So you did. Although "deemed surplus" is rather vague and there are other articles online that are more specific about his contract situation. Nevertheless, no one has lied about anything.

Very happy with Burge and will not crucify him every time he makes an error.

I really had myself down as a cantankerous old curmudgeon, who liked nothing more than stirring trouble, would argue black was white just for fun.

However I have had to reassess myself after going through some of the posts on here.

I am really a friendly amiable elderly gent, of a pleasant disposition... thanks guys for making me see sense.

Its getting a bit odd here recently, isn't it? You used to be able to argue, I mean engage in highbrow debate, with people, fall out temporarily, and then forget about it. Atmosphere seems to have changed subtly.

Nowt wrong with having differing opinions, that’s what debate is about. Crazy when it ends up with petty name calling and even threats though.

MK ~~Dons for one game...Two fumbles on clean takes and the ridiculous roll out to Neil that could, I say could , have cost us two points.. The lad cannot claim a ball hit at him cleanly.. I don't have time to go through and highlight those games he did cost us points, Lincoln was one and dont forget the play off semi final away and home.

But it didn't cost us 2 points. One could argue that had MK Dons scored then the saved penalty cost us points but it didn't.

At the end of the day we're in leahue 1 with a league 1 keeper and a pretty good one for that level. In regards to the roll out Neil called for it and appears to have misjudged the pace. Can't be arsed to go back over the footage but what led up to Burge having the ball? was it claiming a cross or coming off his line to stop an attack? was it a defensive error that forced him into making a save? It could be argued that a number of actions led to the goal but personally i'm not blaming Burge.

We have posters claiming that when he kicks it long it goes to the opposition or into touch. The coach may have instructed them to play out from the back rather than hoof it.

It's league 1 football with league 1 players, mistakes are going to happen. Every club will have similar things happen over the season and hopefully we'll have less than them

The only one that didn't cost us points (obviously Lincoln was a playoff, but we went out by one goal...) was the MK Dons goal on Saturday.

He has rarely saved us points, he has a couple of penna saves to his credit, he seems decent at those.

Really? So you’re mistaken (if he was as I’ve seen no evidence to say that Burge wasn’t offered a deal earlier in the season) and he’s “lying”

One poste “one Gary owers” I think it was thought we won the second division in 1988. Argued his point but accepted he was mistaken. That must make him a liar too?

You’re one of the worst posters we have on here at present. Constantly looking fir an argument and completely unwilling to accept evidence other people put to you. My patience is wearing thin. I accept different opinions. But outright calling someone a liar is massively out of order.

The definition of a liar is 'somebody who knows that they are not speaking the truth'. This fella's definition is 'somebody who knows they are not speaking the truth OR doesnt realise they are mistaken.'

I'd go one further and ask the knacker to provide proof that Burge wasn't offered a contract. If he can't then i guess he's a liar too
