Yeah I agree. I said it last week, but I think we’re close to a tipping point which is going to set so many transfers off. I don’t believe the quotes from Martinez’s agent regarding a new contract at inter, in the slightest. they need the cash and the simple reality is that they cannot afford to turn down a 50,60,70m bid. My concern regarding Ndombele is that we won’t shift him, he won’t play much and will then be sold for very little in a years time.
Wow, Ally gold just reporting that we have agreed a deal for Vlahovic £55m plus bonuses. Hope this is true. Would be an outstanding signing.
Barca Teenager Watch Because we're linked with one or two of them every summer, we've been linked with Barca B central midfielder Ilaix Moriba as they seek to pay down their pornographic debts by...selling a teenager with a year left on his contract who is showing little interest in signing an extension Unless they manage to wrangle a 1500% sell-on fee, that's not going to fix their problems...
One great season at a mid-level side in a league a good 2 or 3 notches below the PL for quality... No question he has promise but I and no doubt many others will be rather uneasy if he is Kane's immediate replacement. Unless we also bring in Martinez. Or, in an ideal world, keep Kane for one more year and have Vlahovic learn from him before taking over the burden from him with at least a year of PL experience under his belt.
DAILY EXPRESS Tottenham 'make £4m offer to Dusan Vlahovic' as transfer deal closes in Sounds like a bargain!
As was mentioned elsewhere, it is pretty damning that he wasn't even included in the squad for Thurs night. It's pretty obvious Nuno has no time for him.
The measure of comfort in this is that Levy/Paratici, despite somewhat undermining Nuno with a paltry contract length, are giving him a decent amount of trust in terms of team selection. Seeing how much Dele has been involved since he took over had me worrying that certain "words" were had and pressure applied to play 'prize assets'. But to basically freeze out our record signing flies in the face of that theory. I'm quietly hopeful we'll at least be able to loan him out to a team on the continent before the close of the window. With an option to buy if we're lucky. But cannot see anyone putting in a serious bid.
Nuno being appointed to me stank of a yes man who has landed a massive job that he hasn’t earned tbh. Nice guy but he won’t rock the boat by making demands. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get an extension around Jan time if all is rosy but I doubt he will be Spurs manager for more than 2-3 seasons.
I think he's been impressed by his workrate and competitiveness. Covered the most ground against City and had the highest average speed, according to Opta.
There's now rumours we've failed to agree a fee for Tomiyasu with Bologna so I think this further strengthens why we're supposedly close to Milenkovic. Tomiyasu is a CB/ RB but with Tanganga's performance on the weekend and the fact Doherty is surely still going to be here this season, it's understandable the club not wanting to pay over the odds for someone who was likely to join primarily as another RB. So getting a straight up CB in Milenkovic for a fair bit less than what Bologna wanted for Tomiyasu is smart business - assuming this all happens of course.
I reckon our best bet is a swap deal with someone. Not many in Europe will have the money to buy him but a trade in players could be a possibility. Barca want rid of Coutinho and have been linked with Ndombele in the past. Asensio and Isco don't feature too much for Madrid and as **** as Ndombele has been for us, he could do well in Spain and be a potential long term Modric/ Kroos replacement. Maybe see if Lazio fancy a trade for Milinkovic-Savic? Wishful thinking though on that, lol.
Classless by ‘fans’ to tweet like that. He’s not handled his brother’s transfer request well but no need to get personal even if it’s disguised as ‘banter’
