All the local journos were tweeting this at the same time. This was clearly briefed by Hendo's reps to put pressure on the club. I don't have a problem with players doing this but more often than not, they are labelled as greedy and selfish. As we've seen with Kane, some players get away with anything ... I wonder why
RIIIIIIIIIGHHHHT. so unsubstantiated stuff now is the same as a direct interview. how do you know the pressure wans't applied directly opposite way?
Lolll you're naive if you didn't think his team didn't speak to the press about his contract. I suppose if he was foreign, it might have been a different narrative ... All the journos were briefed and said the same thing. Hendo was wanted by PSG and Atletico lolll
glad you've verified the sources then. LFC are well known for talking to the press when it suits. you can't really know what side it comes from so don't bring the little englander **** in here
As we've seen with transfer gossip, the local journos know nothing. It's all speculation. Van Dijk had to make an announcement quite recently to put the record straight that reports of him being central to disharmony in the Netherlands team were made up lies. With Henderson, the press jumped on something that there was no need to rush. He had two years left on his contract, was away with England then on holiday. The contract has now been signed more or less when you would expect it to be. Not a single quote from him or his representatives in the lead up.
In fairness to.jimmy you dont know any more than he does where the journey is got it. Just cos theres no quote doesn't mean anything either. We dont know which side briefed that stuff.
@JamesPearceLFC on Salah's agent's tweet being directed at the club: "I think it’s fair to assume that’s what he was getting at. Liverpool don’t need Ramy Abbas to point out to them how important it is to keep Mo Salah for the long term.” On the other hand, you have James Pearce saying that LFC dont need Salah's agent pointing anything out lolll. The double standards from the journos is incredible.
Liverpool have him under contract until he’s 33, not sure why they’d be eager to through more money / years at him now, unless squeezed by the players agent tbh.
Yes I know mate. I'm just countering his opinion with mine. I will say though that neither of us, nor you, know whether or not the press were briefed or more likely, it was made up. No quotes speaks volumes imo. If you have inside information, use quotes and name the sources otherwise it comes across as what it is, guesswork.
When I think about Henderson, I always remember what the manager of Flamengo said before we played them in the CWC final. Jordan Henderson is the 'best midfielder in the world,' claims Jorge Jesus | GiveMeSport
The Echo have done a piece on Sarr based on the fact we were interested last summer and he's still at Watford.
Nobody has commented on Leighton Clarkson loan to blackburn? Frankly it will be interesting to see if he gets his game there. They used elliott sparingly till his quality was too.mich to not use. But they have cms. Big fat lumps of cms. This kid will have to work for a spot.
So Barca, despite being 1.3bn in debt, spending 103% of income on wages, are interested in signing aubamayang. I feel like they don’t quite understand the issues they have at the club
they want a swap deal for Coutinho, this reducing their wages again. They are desperate to offload big names on big salaries. Only problem is that nobody is willing to pay their wages either.
Not sure swapping coutinho on 380k a week for auba on 350k a week will make a huge dent. Unless they expect Auba to take a huge pay cut
