Your method is restrictive and your conclusion is bollocks Rich v intelligent? Public school x economic theory Answer. Status quo
No "method" . Merely a (schoolboy) maths proposition, and a query as to what its minimum value might be.
This WEASEL!!! He is so Man City centric in his appraisal, you'd think it was Man U he was talking about. "Soon as Man City slowed the game down.." F OFF!! All about how Man City lost it rather than how Spurs won. These pundits are hurting. At least they have Dawson providing some necessary balance on the Kane situation.
2016-17 Spurs would have utterly destroyed Citeh today. The reason being that the MF structure did not provide the gaps in CM that allow continual end to end counter attacks by the opposition. Citeh cannot maintain their attacks without over-committing their CM up field. That Spurs vintage used to choke the life out of a defence will still having protection if the attack broke down.
The Milenkovic rumours are heating up now. Gianluigi Longari is jumping on it too and whilst I can’t speak for his record beforehand, he was one of the first (and most accurate) to report on the Cuti stuff. Was only a day or two or ago he indirectly reminded a certain someone that Barca were also interested, lol. Does beg the question though, what happens to Joe Rodon? Didn’t make the squad today and right now feels like he’s below Dier, Sanchez and Cuti in the pecking order, with Milenkovic arriving and assuming one of Dier/ Sanchez go, it’ll still leave Joe possibly around fourth choice at a time where he’d probably want to be kicking on.
According to Romano, Fabio is “at work on many potential deals for final two weeks”. Hopefully we can get about three or four more over the line, with ideally getting about at least four out too. Busy and tough to do but also not impossible. I think the final week especially is going to be crazy - for all clubs, possibly one of the craziest final weeks in recent history (cue it being a dud now!). I think Milenkovic could be one that happens judging by how many journalists are jumping on it now. Apparently part of the reason he didn’t join West Ham was down to his and his agent’s demands, we can offer a better package than they can so hopefully it’s within our budget and they’re not asking for anything too crazy.
I said after the Arsenal friendly I'd like Japhet to get a sustained run of games at RB to really claim the position as his own. After his showing today, I really think he deserves a shot at it. Could save us an absolute fortune if we sell Aurier and replace him in-house. That would leave 4 CBs but with plenty of game time thanks to the ECL. IIRC Joe wasn't registered for our EL squad last year so missed out on a lot of potential fixtures.
weird one this one, we had allegedly agreed the fee and his contract, but agent wanted 5-7m in fees and apparently Moyes said no. Then you became involved. I wonder whether you really are and it's not the agents ploy to get his £££. He must know GSB and Moyes are under a bit of pressure from the fans due to the lack of transfers this window, and losing one of our alleged major targets to our biggest rivals (or poor man's Millwall, w/e term you prefer) over an agents fee won't go down well with them.
Not sure about this. He had a great game yesterday nullifying City and the game suited the setup you had yesterday (hit them on the counter with your speedy trio who can all dribble and run fast whilst keeping it tight at the back) where you won't dominate possession and have to defend for large parts of the game. I'm not sure Japhet would be the suitable choice when the shoe is on the other foot and you need to break a team down who refuse to attack, especially if the midfield two are going to be hojbjerg and skipp who are great for winning possession and recycling the ball but are not creators imo.
The rumours of Tanganga going out on loan surely have to be put to bed after yesterday? Even after a few performances I’m convinced he’s our answer at right back. Why on earth would we risk money on someone else who may fail to impress, when we know he can play that well? His strength and athleticism shows signs of potentially a top wing back. We should sell one of Aurier or Doherty and use the funds elsewhere in the squad, IMO.
