It was fantastic wasn't it. Not the best ground for atmosphere but the travelling support was excellent and the players were obviously loving it. Loads stayed at the end when the players came over ... ... it felt like it was the second game from the end not the start.
Long may it continue. There seems to be a momentum gathering, and when we get going we can be very difficult to stop.
Yeah I know mate but Burge isn't the basket case some people are making him out to be. I just think it's become a bit of a thing and people are looking for reasons for Johnson to drop him which I can't see. I'd rather concentrate on us scoring more goals and getting the defence properly organised ... ... it certainly wasn't yesterday and Burge was left exposed at times. We allowed MK 18 shots which is way too many imo.
I don’t dislike burge personally. I just think he will cost us promotion over the space of a season. He cost us points throughout last season to stop us getting in the top 2, then cost us in the playoffs. Within 2 games this season, he’s at it again. I just want my club out of this league, and can see him costing us that, again. If you want to know the importance of a bad goalkeeper, look into our relegated season in the championship. Where goalkeeping errors were proven to have sent us down. Without them direct errors, we would have finished mid table, that’s facts mate. Bad goalkeepers relegated us. And a bad goalkeeper is costing us promotion.
Its not that mistake I’m worried about. It’s the ones that’s coming. And I know that, because of the ones he’s made before.
"Bad goalkeepers relegated us. And a bad goalkeeper is costing us promotion." I don't know where to start with that tbh so I'll just say this, defenders stopped defending last season and Wyke stopped scoring. If Wyke had squared the ball for Maguire we wouldn't have been knocked out in the play-offs. Burge didn't make a mistake that big in the whole season, absolutely shameful.
Absolutely this Burge is never going to be a world beater but he’s not that bad more concerned what happens if we lose evans with injury Defence needs a bit of time together to tighten up and we need another forward Wouldn’t complain if we got a new keeper but bigger priorities than replacing Burge
A Coventry fans thoughts on burge leaving to join us in 2019. All sounds pretty familiar to me.... RR: Why do you think the club allowed his contract to expire? Was it the right time to part ways? GB: As I say, his performances last season were not good enough and he cost us an awful lot of points from his mistakes and I think it got to a point where the fans had lost a great deal of trust in him, and therefore with his contract running out it made sense for us to change our approach.
Tightness in the groin so I reckon he'll be out for a week. Fortunately he looks fit and his position doesn't rely on pace. I'd play O'Nien there personally, if he's fit
Yeah, I've seen it all before and, tbh, it's becoming a bit boring. I hope, when we get to the end of the window, people let it drop. While ever he's the keeper I'll hope he plays well and the defence give him better cover than yesterday. Take it easy.
When I watched the highlights, after some of the comments on here I fully expected to see Burge roll the ball straight to their player who then bangs it in. But in fact their player picked the ball up just in front of the centre circle, the equivalent of a mis-placed pass in midfield! I don't think Burge is a great keeper and when we get to the Championship we'll need a Championship-level keeper which he is not. But we're in the third division which is why we've got a third division keeper. Their keeper was total pants for our first goal yesterday.. For our second goal their defenders kept passing the ball to our players instead of making a simple clearance. The penalty was a stupid foul right in front of the referee. These mistakes are just the nature of the level we're at.
I haven't asked anyone to drop anything Rog. I've just countered negative posts with positive debate. I've no issues with you or smug and tbh I don't let the negative miserable fookers ruin my enjoyment of 3 wins on the bounce. The burge debate wasn't going anywhere even with plenty of posters counter posting to burges defence, so I've left it there. Even if your bum chum pablo manages a positive post he has to follow it up with a dig at fans. Again, I'm not really that bothered. As for Gordon and the rest of the mods. Well it's up to them how they sort things and I'm not going to lose sleep over that either Chill out mate, i like you but not sexually like you and pablo man love thing
