Venue - Anfield Date - Sat 21 Aug KO - 12:30 TV - BT Sport Ref - Moke Dean cheers Dribs VAR - appears to have been switched off . Well after my the teams good start to the season we move on to a stiffer test against Burnley . An obvious tactic for them is to target Tsimikas at the back post with high balls so VVD has to be aware of that . Hopefully some of todays MIA's will be back available for selection . Since last home game against them was depressing here are highlights from our last meeting
Burnley were not very impressive today. Hopefully their plan is 11 men back against us but we need a few more "risks" with switching play and a bit more interplay. Fabinho to start 100% can't go with shorties v burnley
Our second team Kelleher X gomez konate tsimikas Elliott x Keita X Jota x Milner played no 6 today for fabinho. Williams our rb option. Ox covers salah along with Elliott. Gordon is 16 We have minamino for lw? It's getting there to compete but imo we NEED ONE MORE FORWARD
No but I'd rather anyone than origi on the bench This season could be decided over 2 or 3 game little period. 95 points min so any issue and we are looking at origi
but he would be available for January when we will lose both Salah and Mane for a month. Ideally, we need one striker and one midfielder.
well yes biut this is a thread about a game on saturday and i can't see us buying both before Jan anyway .
Very drunk and very happy with today Just walked past my girl in the hallway like please log in to view this image
We do that a lot. Once from Putney bridge back to Fulham Broadway with jamboz jawbone in her rucksack, got a few joiners on the way too
We cannot let our guard down even for one game Cannot afford dropping silly points this season. I fear the draw, but hope for the win, so we probably lose… but i am going to go for a 3-0 win for us OMFG !
We could buy both tomorrow and they’d be in contention for Saturday But yeah, not likely and wrong thread
I’ve just watched the highlights of yesterday’s match. Some real positives. Salah looked very sharp and the front three in general were great - and Salah actually passed for Bobby’s goal (jota’s was poor control). On the radio, there was a chance that he squared to Mane but didn’t show it on motd. So all good. TAA was excellent and was great seeing the two big boys back in the centre of defence. Kostas did well I thought from what I saw. Alisson was strong again Not much to say about the midfield, from the highlights, who seemed to go quietly about their work - that’s a good thing in a Klopp team, right? anyway, tougher tests to come but the 3 points is welcome.
It sets us up for a good run but this is home game and 19-0-0 is our target yeah? There's nobody for Burnley to worry vvd overly so it's another 90mins to sharpness up before the real big game
We just need to approach the game with the right attitude and match the physicality, if we do that we should have too much for them.
