Reckon we might need to forget this one. If the demand for game time is true we shouldnt accommodate that. We have the current front three with Diamond and Hawkes to backup. I have a feeling we will do something brilliant for a number 9 but this wont be it. Maybe we will all be blown away by a signing soon that nobody has predicted.

I get the feeling this is the same as Hume. The longer it drags on the more likely it won't happen. Interesting to see who else the go for though cos I haven't seen anyone else linked up front.

We'd be doing them a favour by giving him valuable first team experience that they cant and sending him back a better player... What a pack of tw@ts Sheff Utd are if this is true.

This is what I like about the current recruitment team - no real media links. Just do their job and no gossiping. Professionals in charge at last. I am hoping we actually buy a number 9 to be honest and not give it to a loanee. I have faith (and also half a bottle of red inside me <laugh>

Big thing for me is we ended up seeing that game off today with are squad players

Personally think most of these will play from
The bench most games when we are fully fit and have a rb

Flannigan
Winchester
Neil
O'Brien
Pritchard
Wright

Add in 2-3 more players and we could
Be looking at a very good season

Think Alves can play as right back if needed as well, still need a specialist RB though.
Winchester is probably one of the best right fullbacks in EFL1 anyone signed in my opinion will have a job on to replace him , I must say I have been impressed with his performances to date , he has been replaced in his midfield position and is giving his all as a makeshift right fullback to make a claim on the position . He certainly has not let himself or the club down - long may it continue , versatility is a great asset to possess.

I would hope the club are looking to bring in a starting RB, a striker who can battle it out with Stewart, and a goalkeeper who will be our new 1st choice. Bring those in and I’ll be ecstatic with our business.

Has anyone noticed a certain poster seems to have disappeared, you know the one, was posting about 50 times a day about how our recruitment was ****, we weren't getting any players in while other teams were managing it. How we should have all our signings in by now as starting the season without them would mean we would be playing catch up.
Seems like we are doing OK so far, like I said they can take till the last day of the window if that's what it takes to bring in the right players.
On the evidence of our first 2 league games against decent sides and with probably 2 if not 3 more signings to come they have gotten pretty spot on for me

Looks like we have a new lad to take his place :emoticon-0136-giggl

I reckon this team is bedding in quite well, I've always had faith in LJ and i'm impressed how is constructing a squad despite the obvious pressure to "get numbers in"....we've done that in the past and it just doesn't work. We are getting a blend of youth and experience...just hope its enough to get us out of this godforsaken division.

Can't argue with his performance to date in that position and I believe he has played as a right back earlier in his career so wouldn't be too concerned if he had to continue.
However a specialist RB would provide proper competition and hopefully drive each other on.

Jebbison should be starting for them. They havnt scored in the league and look awful up front. How much did they pay for that Brewster? He looks ****e.
