The new players are mainly defensive midfielders, thankfully they created something or else we would be even worse off. As I said Palmer IMHO is not good enough, he should have scored today, he has created nothing in 2 games and doesn't appear to able to find space to be creative and you know my views about Weimann most of the stray balls today came from them.

I would be interested to see the personal stats from todays game. Match stats gave us 61.7% of possession and a better passing accuracy than Middlesborough, shots were similar they had 12 we had 10, but 7 of theirs were on target against 2 by us.

Yvner at present isn’t a Championship full back, he may be one day as he has the attributes, what worries me he’s inclined to switch off and I’m not sure that can be coached out of him.

I agree with this, today he switched off twice in the first half and timidly lost possession in and around our box and then never got within 6 foot and got turned so easily it was a joke in the cross for their first goal. Was constantly getting skinned in the 2nd half. Rightly subbed and replaced at right back by Kalas. I think the same could be said about Weimann I have a friend who is a Derby season ticket holder of long standing and in our local post office is a Villa fan + I met a family of Villa fans in Weymouth on Thursday and all of them said the same. Lovely bloke, great engine, poor passer/crosser and lacks composure in front of goal, evident last Saturday and again today.
In Weiman’s defence he’s been out for pretty much a year it’s gonna take time to regain some kind of form and with Semenyo out we don’t have many options.
Well I think so, poor in both games so far, missed chances and should have done better for Blackpool equaliser and todays 2nd, but he's got a good engine.
2019/2020 Smith 0 assists, Massengo 0, ODowda 1, Nagy 1, Patterson 2, Palmer 3, Eliasson 12 apparently we miss Smith but not Eliasson. 2020/2021 Massengo 0 again, Palmer 2, Patterson 2, Nagy 3, Wells 3, Semenyo 4 and Martin 5. That's for 2 whole seasons hardly world beating either.
So you would drop James, and put Semenyo on the bench even though he’s not fit, or had any games in the under 23’s or behind closed doors games to get any sort of match fitness? Good job you’re not the manager
