Definitely a sending off, gave the ref no other option Lunging in like that. All players make a meal of that type of challenge, dare say those in a city shirt also. The ref had his hand going for the red card a second or two after the challenge. 4 goals scored, 4 conceded, a man sent off and 3 points, well supporting city is never dull, never dull in ull as they say….

I thought his stand-in Moncur was our best player all game until the sending off. Always looked like he wanted the ball and make something of it. Dodgy challenge and now we’re missing him next game. Hopefully Cannon can do a job in midfield.

We'll need to do a job v Derby midweek to get some confidence for the Fulham trip on Saturday, they put 5 past Hudders today, ominous.

Agreed. I reckon the likes of Fulham, West Brom and Bournemouth could give us a good hiding if we aren’t at the top of our game. Need that confidence from the Derby game on Wednesday.

This lack of quality... if it is, cant be rectified in one window... we've gone back to bones and are building again.... I'm chuffed we have a team who'll compete in this league, that'll do me for this season and maybe even next...

Can’t be fully rectified in one window but you can still add some when it’s available , jury is still open if we can compete . Last week was great but let’s see how things level off after 6-10 games .

I've got the Drama Queens in a play off spot. Either they were good today or we were just off it. Maybe a bit of both. Back on the bike on Wednesday.
Listening to Jack's vs Blunts. A draw please!

Not a single team in the Championship have won both of their opening games. Like every season, we'll get better insight after our first 10-15 games. We've got a difficult run of games coming though. Fulham, Bournemouth, Swansea, Blackburn and Sheff Utd will be very difficult games. Derby are in disarray but we can't write them off either. Today was a reality check after the great performance against Preston. Just need to dust ourselves down and up our game and try and squeeze as many points as we can from our opening 10 games.

Going to be a tight season. I can see the likes of West Brom, Cardiff and Fulham maybe pulling away at the business end, with the other places up for grabs by a dozen clubs. Early days but looks as if Derby, Udders, PNE and Forest might be down there, or maybe it's called clutching at straws and hoping.

Agree. Why on earth would we not give it back? We didn't have that money in the first place, so we'd have lost exactly nothing.

At this point I'd rather just accept another £500,000 worth of debt owed to Allamhouse with interest over this ****ing palaver. It's a drop in the ocean compared to the millions we already owe to them. I aren't really arsed if we don't spend money on a transfer fee but all this ****ing about trying to move one player out to get one player in and it stalling because nobody wants Mayer or whatever. It's ****ing tedious.

As you know our greatest ever manager Sir Steven Bruce waved regularly to the crowd
Thus proving waving is crucial to a successful manager

    Nope
Brilliant manager, but we’d have been Champions if he’d have focussed instead of waving …and got a European trophy too

I've just got in from work and can't be bothered to read the thread, so it's a quick question: just how ****ing abysmal were we?

Did they score 3 lucky goals? I listened to the commentary only. It seems to me that a three nowt home loss means we can't have been very good? Always has in the past.
