did what was needed i thought...did not have to make any 'spectacular' saves but managed a couple of good ones...not what i would call a keepers blooper but had he not done that they would not have scored which just goes to show that every player has to concentrate at all times, came out a couple of times to clear the ball as well, overall a decent game but as usual, as he is the keeper he will get pelters for one mistake.

Yeah I felt the same way with Ross but think he was stifled under the old regime.
LJ has got great backing and infrastructure behind him now too.

I wasn't just referring to Geads tho. Fair enough if it comes off, same as a Panenka. Looks awful if it misses. Haven't seen Goochs today so can't comment but he usually goes top corner

I used to go barmy at people for having a go at Kilbane. Every single match they would wait for him and pounce. I used to lose my rag and give them both barrels. The lad was genuine and honest in what he did but it was like they wanted him to fail.

It is very lord of the flies, there always has to be a scapegoat... sometimes they do not have to play badly.. Hume for a while was the bad man for a while..
Before last seasons goals, I thought Wyke was one of the worst forwards ever, on a bar with dozy cannotscore. Wyke took some stick but was not a scapegoat...
Just the nature of the beast..

There's a difference between highlighting some players short comings compared to posting "they're absolute shìt" and having a dig at any fans who disagree as they're some sort of imbeciles etc.
Then since I support Burge as a decent league 1 keeper I'll have a go back ;)

Like Daz, was it ? Posted earlier.
Burge was classed top keeper last season in this league.
But I read on here he's absolute crap and I should hang my head in shame for supporting him lol.

:azn:<laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh> Avoiding every other part of the comment. As you can’t pick a better available keeper, or an available keeper who wants to come here. Is there a better keeper in this division? I have no idea. there seemingly wasn’t last season. Only ffans who don’t rate him at this level are some of ours

I wish we still had mclaughlin.
We really should have made the most of that first season in league 1 with the squad we had. The longer your in a league the harder it is to get out.

Without checking it is probably fair to say that as his carreer progressed he played more premier league games than Sunderland did.
A long and steady premier league player.

No worries mate, I know your a coarse bastid and say it like it is but your not a wum :D i like you for that ;)
I'm a miserable outspoken sarcastic twát when I'm out, much to the mrs annoyance lol
But im quite restrained on here because I just want us to do well the same as everyone else.
I could never stomach stick players get at matches. (Except Rodwell for example)
Opposition players, yes. But not ours.
We've had shìte players the fans loved then better ones some hated.
    I've never idolised players.
    Well Niall Quinn aside :D
But I think we are spoilt for a lot more honest players in this league than we've been used too.
They have their faults like all but I'll judge at the end of the season.

    When we're promoted <cheers> :D

Yes because it was always the same pathetic arguments. When he played well he still got the same nonsense as when he played crap so I might as well let them know they are idiots in both circumstances as well.

I hope you’re joking <doh><doh><doh> Craig MacGillivray at Charlton (former Pompey), is better for starters and that’s without me having to think. Recruitment team have done well in recent weeks, let’s hope a new GK is high up on their priority list now.
