perhaps he knows it's either gonna go over, in which case theres nothing to do
Or it's going to be saved, nothing he can do
Or it's going in, nothing he can do

Whenever I play football, my natural reaction is to see what happens. I know I can't do anything about it, but if the ball is cleared, hits the post or whatever you should be ready to react. Besides that, Rosicky had a good game at the weekend.

    Storm in a tea cup.

Like he said, if sees the player run off celebrating why does he need to turn around and look ?

Do you look back into it before you flush? Some can not resist.

Not much of a story but isn't it just a natural reaction to check whether the ball has gone in?

not if the players face in front of your lights up. Thats the same as turning around.

Id guess you'd hear the thousands of people go "YYYYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" aswell as the players around you shouting "GET IN MY SON"

But he still had time to turn around before Larsson knew the ball was in.

I hope that after all this idiotic criticism Rosicky will NOT look back when we concede from another free kick. Body language is becoming more important than what a player does with the ball. One needs to act to please the fans. Just scoring goals and make assists is not enough. Arshavin is the prime example. Rosicky played brilliantly against Sunderland and all he got was this criticism. Unbelievable. Now you wonder why players are leaving the club.

Its only the media making a story where there is none. Any Gooner complaining deserves a slap. bottom line, we are not playing well at all and I've complained about what has been going on more than most but, jeepers creepers, who cares that he didn't turn around because he knew it was a goal !! Had the ball not gone in and he missed an opportunity to clear the ball then .. that is a different story entirely.

I don't think that any Gooner and certainly not the OP are complaining, just observing that it's interesting that he 'knew' it was in.

However, some papers have actually stated that he was laughing when it went in!!! I didn't notice that, but again, what's the issue. He might have been laughing ironically.
