Tadic anyone. This is a joke.... tadic would attempt to try and take on the same guy 4 times. Still delivered a quality final pass when he didn't.
Essential - Proven first XI CB, proven first choice GK. Expectation - ‘Promising’ fourth choice CB, no GK. Would be nice - CM depth.
I think it will. After the collapse at the end of last season I don't think there's any goodwill from the fans left. It's usually fairly easy to ignore the comments on fb/twitter as being from WUM's but it seems more and more genuine Saints fans are starting to turn. As Saints fans most of us aren't greedy, we expect to be outclassed by the top boys, we don't expect to win **** all silverware, but constant second half capitulation with RH making no/late changes is wearing really bloody thin. I really don't understand how he is tactically out foxed every game, he's had ample opportunity to learn, and yet he hasn't. Even his apologists must realise they've run out of excuses now? This is on him.
Yep I agree but think he needs some time this season, but if we do a Place under de Boer for example I think we will react. Not that I think that will happen, but these first 5 or 6 games will make him or the other…
I’ll be honest I thought Stephens was much more at fault today than McCarthy. Gave away the cheapest corner ever for the first and didn’t attack the others
I don’t see why we want to buy a player as back up, for a defence as bad as ours has been for ages. We’ve got to improve the starting defenders, not buy someone who also isn’t good enough.
You can put Donnarumma in goal for us, and he will make mistakes. There’s only so much a keeper can do when they are being put under constant pressure.
I’m not Ralph out yet, as I think he has very little to work with. Patience is wearing a bit thin with some aspects though - Djenepo and Walcott shouldn’t start ahead of a fit S Armstrong and Tella imo. But the reluctance to make changes when things are obviously not working is grating. The big question as always though is who would improve the side, if things don’t improve and someone obvious becomes available & is interested then fair enough. As things stand this isn’t the case.
I think though the team we have is actually nowhere near as bad as we are playing or results are dictating. Something is very wrong, Ralph has to take blame here, and yep the subs thing is ****ing weird, it is like he doesn’t understand how to react to have the opposition overrunning us. Daccoure was great today, I thought we could have changed shape to have an extra body in midfield, but nope, let’s keep it the same and hope something happens. I need to stop posting cos I can feel my mood changing very quickly to Ralph out
Blaming a defender for giving away a corner? The Salisu McCarthy non communication balls up was far more at fault than giving away a corner.
It is yes, but only if it is a staring quality CB, and not one to keep Jack on his toes for who is the best 3rd choice one!
That is exactly what I am thinking will happen as well, we desperately need a proven first XI CB, nothing else will do. Vestergaard wasn’t good enough as it was, now he is gone and we are talking about bringing in competition for his previous understudy rather than someone who will grab our miserable defence by the nuts. I feel another Danso coming though. The club has let the CB situation deteriorate to this point and if they are living in the real world they will address it, it might cost a bit over budget but relegation will cost a lot more.
See whilst I think Salish should just have cleared that, any decent keep would have been either screaming for it to be cleared, or as it wa only 3yards away and he saw the whole thing unfold in front of him, claiming the ball himself.
Nah not yet for me, I have more trust in recruitment now and think we may just pull out a gem on deadline day. Or if that doesn’t happen, then the love child of Beardsley and Dowie will join on loan from Utd.
Everyone has their favourites of course but your defending of anything said against Fraser or Stephens is kinda obsessive.
