difficult win that one, once again we lost attacking momentum once gooch dropped back in defence.

doyle was a little too cocky today i felt, sometimes just get it clear marra.

cirkin, nice and steady debut for him will be better once settled, obrien did ok once he got into the game, pritchard was eager but by then we had lost our momentum.

MKDONS not a bad side, passed it well at times and got it into the box, one thing i have noticed is we have a tendency to let crosses/passes along the ground roll right through the 18 yard box, luckily no one has been running in so far.

still early days but i thought losing evans, dropping gooch back and allowing winchester to move upfield stifled us...still not a fully settled/regular 1st team so to come away with 3 wins out of 3 is good going and hopefully we will build on that.

 

Need a striker in more than we need a keeper imo Patterson could replace Burge no bother, but not sure that Hawkes could cover for Stewart.

 

Well I'm happy, 3 out of 3 games won.
Can't ask for much more.
Burge dropped a clanger but made up for it.
Their keeper wasn't too clever for our first goal.
Gooch had a bad day at the office after a sterling performance at Wigan but we still won
And even had a new lad straight in defence.
Excellent start.

I think we will have the strongest squad mate but our lack of strikers need addressing asap and also lack of cover in fullbacks. Other than that im happy with how we look.
OBrien is a decent player, but hes no striker. We have no other backup at the moment for Stewart

 

Tough going. Mainly because Lee Burge is a joke.

 

Maybe if they aren't available get Seamus McDonnagh out of retirement?

 

Agreed, I was thinking more along the lines of his 2/10 performance today.

Id like to see Mcgeady start completing a full 90 minutes asap. Once again this season he just looks like he shouldn't be in this league with the ability he's got
