Djenepo is brilliant at beating a man but unfortunately that is pretty much all he can do. So much so that when he beats his man, he will then attempt to take on another rather than cross or pass
Can’t understand why McCarthy is getting the blame for that. Defence looked vulnerable the entire second half. The way we always just fall apart, that’s on Ralph and no one else.
I thought Djenepo had a good game and looked dangerous. He's still a bit all fart and no **** with the final ball, but he's also still young. He was far more effective than Theo. A little bit Captain Hindsight here, but Ralph too slow on the subs today, especially with such a strong bench. I'm presuming Stu isn't quite match fit or something, otherwise I don't get playing Theo ahead of him. Some bright points - Tino looks superb (though faded badly second half), and Armstrong will get goals and bother defences. Che looks to have upped his hold up style game too. Not worried off the back of that one, though I am worried about the next game and the doom and gloom merchants getting comfy.
Maybe won’t be sooner, and hope it doesn’t come to that. I was being tongue in cheek though. For now!
Stuart Armstrong, Bednarek, KWP (push Toni up), and we might just limit Utd to only 5 goals next week.
Yep agree with most of this but I have a major issue with Moussa,, he nearly always makes the wrong choice and I can’t bear watching it. He us had 2 years with us and I think he should be better than he currently is, I just don’t feel he will make it.
I can just about see the logic in this, as long as only one signs and will be back up next season. Think we can get a good League 1 keeper for our first season in the championship
If he gets the blend right, I think it possible we can do better this year. **** to lose first game though. Every bloody year!
