Burge is a decent league 1 keeper. Best in the league according to neutrals last season. Replace With whom? Who is better out there and available and willing to play for us. Would you rather gave one of the 2 who have played against us? As they’ve both had issues.
You genuinely believe there’s nobody better out there than Burge that would come here? It’s a huge world. Thousands of goalkeepers out there. Burge is ****e, always has been.
You said replace him. I don’t know. I think he’s good enough. You say replace him so Name one. If there’s that many, you’ll obviously know of at least one. Best in the league last season. That tells you that he’s decent enough at this level and better than most. But don’t let facts cloud your judgement
I wouldn't be surprised if the recruitment team had their eye on one or two who would be an improvement. No point signing another journeyman keeper from a league one side but that's hardly our only option, why can't we get a Doyle or Cirkin level keeper? I also believe Patterson would be better. I think he's picked Burge because the defence is pretty inexperienced which does make sense.
Agree totally. Not sure about Patterson as I haven’t seen enough of him. But these “keepers” in mind might be out of our price range pen to us
