I agree, Kalas is the best defender at the club so why not play him, plus he’s right footed whereas Baker and the new guy are lefties, so a better balance, it seems more to do with Kalas and Pearson falling out, which is a bit petty really, be grown up disagree, have it out and move on. It’s good Pearson let’s players know he’s the boss, but to hold a grudge is childish.

Vyner not closing down quick enough, got beat too easy.. we are struggling to put passes or create any chances.. first 10 mins we looked ok with high pressing.. but tailed off, pretty scrappy..
If ever there was an even game this was it, nothing in it no chances for either team. But it was no surprise that the casual Vyner was the culprit for the 2nd week running, he had given away possession by being far casual earlier in the game not once but twice and as you rightly point out he never closed Jones down at any point during the build up never getting with 2 yards of the bloke and the ease that he turned Vyner was of joke proportions. 57% possession according to the stats, but nothing created.

Biggest disappointment and what’s worrying for me is the lack of creativity, which has been our achilles heal for over 2 seasons.. something that should have been top of NP’s list to address..
